redtech
I found my first cache this weekend quickly followed by my second! I can't wait to go find more. There are quite a few within a 20 mile radius of me. This is so exciting!!! So far, the two that I found were both micros. I really want to find one with swag in it!!! Quote Link to comment
StarBrand
Welcome aboard!! Remember to always make it fun - if you find you aren't having fun - move on to the next one. Quote Link to comment
kraushad
Don't get too excited about the SWAG. I started out thinking that was the neatest part, but even after only 30 or so finds, I found that the hunt proved more fun then the swag for myself anyway. CONGRATS ON THE FIND! +Canadavey
I found that the hunt proved more fun then the swag I second that. It's all about the hunt! Quote Link to comment
joranda
That's great, you have gotten the hang of micros. It's all down hill from here. Enjoy your hunts. Quote Link to comment
Segerguy
Way to Go!!!!! The 1000th one you find will, or should be just as much fun as the first! You'll soon be taken to some really neat spots in your area that you didn't even know existed! It might be a park, a courtyard, a stream, a horse trail, a cool view, something, but you'll see. You're in for alot of fun!!! Congratulations! Quote Link to comment
michigansnorkelers
If you want the best chance of finding QUALITY swag, look for regular sized caches that were hidden in the last week. New caches are usually packed with really nice "stuff". Be sure to return the favor and leave something of quality behind, lest you start the downward swag quality spiral. Quote Link to comment
GrateBear
Agree, don't get hung up on the swag. My experience is that a lot of it is, to put it kindly, worthless. The one "swag" item I do enjoy finding is foreign coins. In one, I found a German coin that was from my year of birth, 1949. I swapped out a few state quarters for that one! Quote Link to comment
