+South Lyon Trekkers
This is the second post for this thread. The first didn't finish the post and is missing. I am trying to activate some geocoins. I can activate it, enter info for it, but when clicking the button "Edit Trackable Item's Detail" I am taken to a page with a giant Geocaching.com logo, Signal looking at a paper, and a message stating: "Sorry! We encountered an error when requesting that page!" I have tried two different coins. I tried using the latest version of Firefox, 2.0.0.11, on a Vista laptop. I also tried on an iMac running OSX 10.5 with Safari, version 3.0.4. The same thing happens each time. Any help would be appreciated. Link to comment
+South Lyon Trekkers
I thought I'd try a travel bug. The first one I did worked, but the rest have resulted the same as the geocoins. Link to comment
OpinioNate
Are you putting HTML in the descriptions? Wait until after you have activated the bugs/coins to do that and I think you'll have better luck. Link to comment
+mousekakat
I've noticed that sometimes the website just burps that way for a while... then I come back later and try again and all is well! Good luck, Naomi Link to comment
+Kealia
There's another thread talking about this as well. Seems to be a known bug that you can't use HTML in the descriptions until AFTER you complete the activation process. So leave them as-is, activate the TB/Geocoin, then go back and edit and use HTML to make it the way you want and everything should be fine. Link to comment
+South Lyon Trekkers
I saw the other thread. The html was the culprit. As soon as I found out I logged my findings on that thread. Thanks for the help! Link to comment
