looking for an automated way to delete archived caches from GSAK

Two ways.

First and simplest is to purge the database on loading it. Then no archived caches will be in the database.

However, for the more complicated method (if you want to keep old logs), GSAK has a macro that can do this, and you'll find in on the GSAK forums.

It involves being sure that your PQs cover the area and return all of the caches (not going over the 500 mark). Then load the new data on top of the old data and delete caches with an old "Last GPX" date.

One day maybe I'll try that GSAK macro. But it only takes me about 30 seconds now to delete archived caches from my database, so the incentive is small. I just sort by Last GPX, check the caches that haven't been updated, select them with the User Defined filter, and use Delete Waypoints to remove them.

That is exactly what I do. It is so easy that I have no incentive to figure out how to access and use a macro.
