What is the rarest geocoin? (IDK)

What is the most paid for a geocoin? (It could be the $192.50 that the Geocoin Fairy geocoin got on e-bay this week! Let me know if that's not.)

What is the shape of geocoins? (Mostly round, but many different shapes and sizes.)

What does SA (Selective Availability) mean? (IDK that one either!)

That coin is super great!!!

"September 30, 2001 The first trackable geocoin released was the Moun10Bike Version 1 Geocoin #002.[1] The Moun10Bike Version 1 Geocoins are the most sought after geocoins in existence. They are all displayed on geocaching.com as owned by Moun10Bike however the coin may still be listed for sale in defiance of this on eBay fetching prices in the thousands of USD. When he finds a sale of this coin on eBay he will have the coin locked so it is no longer trackable"

Doesn't it mean Thanks For The Cache And Signed Log Took Nothing Left Nothing. So, maybe I got the letters turned around?

"It was the perfect choice for a memorable one hundredth find, and the perfect place to release the first 'geocoin,' the name I had given to these creations. Actually, it was the second geocoin in existence (Moun10Bike Geocoin #002) that was released here; the first geocoin, #001, still sits on display on a shelf in my office."

2003 The first USAGeocoin is released for sale making it one of the first Geocoins that one can buy, release, and track online without minting an exclusive personal design. The proposed 2002 Design was never made. [3]

I thought there was more to it.

It was the first personal Trackable geocoin.

But Did you say "to buy"? hmmm?

Here's more Good facts :)

2005 Geocaching.com permits any Geocaching user to purchase tracking numbers for approved designs fueling a sudden surge in number of coins. Minimum purchase set at 1000 tacking numbers.

Fall 2006Groundspeak reduces the minimum purchase of tracking numbers to 250 and the min. required to receive a unique icon, reducing the total cost of creating a trackable geocoin (with icon) and fueling a 'geocoin craze' with hundreds of new personal, group and increasingly purely commercial designs minted.

Did you notice: "fueling a sudden surge . . . :)

Hello, nice idea :)

How is the geocoin "rage"starded????

The idea is sprung from the "challenge coin".

The American soldiers receive as encouragement for special actions a coin.

Each army unit has his own coin en soldiers show these an each other.

During missions they let the coin see to each other and throw the coins on the table.

Those who has not receive a coin must stand a round.

I hope i have write understandable english. :)

I have learned this from a fellow cacher.
