wildgoose007
I've noticed that my Garmin 60csx writes to the tracklog even when GPS reception is turned OFF. Anyone know why it does that? Is it for the elevation plot? Quote Link to comment
+ridilen
Unless you are in battery saving mode, it does take altitude measurements while it is off. Ridilen Quote Link to comment
+apersson850
I think the goose is talking about having the unit on, just the GPS receiver part off, right? Quote Link to comment
AlunS
I think the goose is talking about having the unit on, just the GPS receiver part off, right? My Vista HCx does the same. I see loads of track points in the log with the same position as when you switched to "Use with GPS Off" with only the elevation data changing and nothing else. Also the altimeter related fields in the Odometer page such as Total Ascent also continue to update (even if you've stopped track logging altogether in the Tracks screen). Quote Link to comment
