+sseegars
I know it's not about the numbers, BUT, there was supposed to be a national CITO contest this year. Which state had the most CITO'S for 2007? Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
I'm not sure I'd call it a contest, I was just braggin' on all the Florida CITO events. It didn't hold anyone else's interest long enough to keep track all year. Florida did end the year 2007 with 26 CITOs. Since nobody else kept track, I'm proclaiming Florida #1 even though it's not about the numbers Quote Link to comment
+sseegars
I was under the impression that there was a state against state contest this year, albeit a friendly one. I think SC beat the snot out of Florida, albeit in a friendly way. I have tried to run a PQ for only CITO's in SC but keep getting no results. Surely someone at Groundspeak can post a list of CITO's completed per US state for 2007. Please? Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
South Carolina: 3 Florida: 5 Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
I found that with a pq. Be sure to check the buttons when choosing type or state, and fill in the dates at the bottom. Quote Link to comment
+sseegars
Nope. After doing this for several years I just found out that you can't run a PQ on archived listings. Still waiting on an answer. I can count 20 just from individual cachers finds here in SC this year. Quote Link to comment
+Scrubsjm
Maryland has two planned for this year already. lpyankeefan has planned one next weekend and we have another planned in February. We are trying to plan one a month with other team wimp-out members. See the Psycho Urban Cache series by Vinny and Sue for information on team wimp-out Edited January 11, 2008 by Scrubsjm Quote Link to comment

I count 30 CITO's and I am sure that I have missed some. (Does that mean we have really dedicated cachers or a really dirty state?) I proclaim SC #1! Quote Link to comment

+Isonzo Karst
Congrats to SC then. Hey, build a bookmarked list..... Quote Link to comment
+sseegars
Oh man! If you want a bookmarked list I will just go with the warm fuzzy feeling and bow out to Florida then, LOL. All in good fun. Doesn't matter who had more or less. I was just wondering as I know Isonzo Karst was. Quote Link to comment
+sseegars
South Carolina CITO's 2007 I missed a few. Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
Whoa, you really did build a bookmarked list! I'm impressed. Very nice effort there. Congratulations to the cachers in SC who made that CITO effort. Here's for more in '08. I love Side-trip's post - "Every state wins thanks to the idea of CITO and the efforts of Geocachers across the country!!" Quote Link to comment

I love Side-trip's post - "Every state wins thanks to the idea of CITO and the efforts of Geocachers across the country!!" I liked that as well! I also replied that this was a friendly back and forth on the subject. It is nice to know that any CITO's were sone at all but it looks like Forida and SC outdid themselves. What do you want to bet for next year? OH! AND GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. GEOHOLIC28 HELPED WITH THE BOOKMARK LIST! (not like he had to do art work or anything....)
