wifi hotspot sniffer for Mio p550?

Can anyone recommend a wifi hotspot sniffer for Mio p550?

 

Preferably free or donateware etc

Unless you're using a signal booster of some sort, you're best off just using windows mobile's built in wifi manager for any local signals and encryption settings.

If you Google for sniffers / wardriving you'll come up with cracking software packages - but of course using these to gain unauthorised access to the internet is in itself a criminal offence!

When you find them log them as a waymark here then people can dowload the .loc file to gsak and search for ones in their area.

 

The cache 802.11b springs to mind as one you need wifi for (we used a PSP)

It will log the co-ords of all wifi access points in the area.

 

It's great for finding the FREE access points which I have used to log caches while out and about.

 

I believe McDonalds now offer free access but have not tried them yet.

 

This could could come in handy for those at camping events or if your on hols and want to log coin/TB's in and out of caches.
