+phstars
Does anyone know of an easy way to determine where BLM lands are? I went to their website, but didn't find easy maps, only GIS data. Not having a GIS system makes that data unusable. Anyone have tips or ideas? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Lizzy
Depends on the county, I'm guessing. Here in Snohomish, you can check land owner info on the county assessor's website. The map is not particularly user friendly, but I've figured most of it out. It's a bit labor intensive to check because you have to click on land parcels that you are interested in on the map, vs just viewing a map with all the lines/info drawn on it. Don't know if that helps you... Edited January 6, 2008 by Lizzy Quote Link to comment

+phstars
Thank you for the advice. It looks like I should check out the county assessor. Thank you again. Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
I'm currently on the road and away from my GIS software, but when I get back I can convert the data to GPX for you if you think you could use that. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
The BLM also sells maps of their lands. Not quite as good as having the boundaries on your GPS but not to shabby either since you can fairly simply see on a computer based topo where the BLM lands are and do waypoints for any parcel of interest. I can make you a KML of BLM lands for Google Earth. What area would you like? Edited January 8, 2008 by geoduck4 Quote Link to comment
+MaplessInSeattle
I asked the BLM what type of resources they had for those of us without GIS readers. They provided me with this link: Link From BLM Quote Link to comment
