+whartonia
Thanks to all the great posts that helped me make a final decision on which GPS to purchase. I wanted something less than $300 that would work for geocaching and in the car. I originally decided on the Legend HCX, but when I saw that the Vista was only $22 extra at Amazon I changed my mind. I got it for $233 and splurged on City Navigator and Topo 2008. I should have gotten the car charger, a car mount and a 2GB sd card, but thought I'd pick those up later. The kids are anxious to get started hunting. Do you have a preference for car mounts? I'd rather not have something stuck permanently to my dashboard. Quote Link to comment

I like the Garmin one that came with my Legend HCx bundle. It is a suction cup type for on the windshield but comes with a disk for the dash. It also utilizes the clip that I wondered what it was for with my old Legend Cx. Quote Link to comment
