+2CraziesMSN
Hi, I need some help. My rubber gasket around my GPS is coming off. I E-mailed Garmin and the only way to fix this issue is to send it in. I have a Legend (old blue) and that rubber gasket came off and they sent me a new gasket and tape for it, But they can't do it for the Legend Cx. Can anyone help me on what type of tape I should use? I don't want to send it in because everythng else is working fine. Thanks Quote Link to comment
QuigleyJones
I'd think that any super glue would do fine, but if you send in your unit your most likely to get a new one in return. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
There was a thread a couple of months ago about what worked best. If you do a Search, you might find it. I "repaired" the rubber gasket on my Vista C with some Scotch double-sided tape, however other suggestions in that thread sounded much more permanent. Quote Link to comment
+2CraziesMSN
Thanks for the help. I see they don't send the same unit back sometimes. My unit is still in good shape. Has anyone sent there unit in and received a new or repair one back? Edited January 3, 2008 by dklann06 Quote Link to comment
+TexasGringo
I used "Form-A-Gasket" (From auto stores) before. Not the harding stuff....but the stuff that stays kinda rubbery. Quote Link to comment

Has anyone sent there unit in and received a new or repair one back? I sent my first Vista C in and got a different unit back. It was returned promptly and Garmin even transferred the waypoints I had on the other one, although I had saved those on my computer before sending it back. I would have preferred if they had fixed mine, even if it took longer to return it, because I had one of those $10.00 Invisible Shields on the screen . . . Quote Link to comment
