+BlueDeuce
Forget the right thing to do, what's the best worst thing to release as a Travel bug? I'd even be interested in hearing about TBs you have actually come across. --- That does remind me of the guy who (seriously) released a fake hand grenade as a TB. I'm thinking about releasing some burnout light bulb Tbs. Standard GE household bulbs of course. Quote Link to comment

+The Leprechauns
Hamsters do better as trade items than as travel bugs. I learned they can chew through the chain. Once a trackable has lost its tag, it's just swag. Quote Link to comment
+the hermit crabs
I'd even be interested in hearing about TBs you have actually come across. The worst one we ever picked up was WANAWUT. It's a scrap of some type of real animal fur. My co-crab had a severe allergic reaction to it almost as soon as we opened the ziplock. (The cachers that had it right before us also had the a similar thing happen.) Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
Forget the right thing to do, what's the best worst thing to release as a Travel bug? The tag with nothing attached. I've seen it about 5 times. A classic newbie blunder. And to make it even worse, they could not name it, and just go with the default "Travel Bug Dog Tag". Seen that twice, I believe Edited January 2, 2008 by TheWhiteUrkel Quote Link to comment
+ventura_kids
Large items that get soaked. I found a smelly stuffed toy animal (not a real hamster). It had accumulated water like a sponge. Quote Link to comment
+whitebear
A rubber doggy doo TB The other worst one is super sized TB's I ended up with a 10 pin bowling lball TB at a GC meeting once Edited January 2, 2008 by whitebear Quote Link to comment
QuigleyJones
Well I did release this TB. Still has yet to make it into a cache. Edited January 2, 2008 by QuigleyJones Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
My camoed pink flamingo made it to two or three caches in Maine, and a few events before it disappeared at an event in New Hampshire. Our parakeets were obviously too nice. Though they did make it to their first goals. Oh, well. Quote Link to comment

Seen that twice, I believe I got one of these this weekend. Nothing attached and no name, "Travel Bug Dog Tag". It had been sitting there for three months, so I thought I would help it along. +Renegade Knight
I once took snoogans advice and drilled a hole in a $100 bill. Then I attached a tag saying "move me". It didn't last long. Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
I once took snoogans advice and drilled a hole in a $100 bill. Then I attached a tag saying "move me". It didn't last long. You had to use a drill? Quote Link to comment

+PhxChem
before it disappeared at an event in New Hampshire. LOL....that wasn't the problem I was expecting!! How many green flamingos are there out there? It was just too enticing!! Quote Link to comment
+Team LaLonde
My camoed pink flamingo made it to two or three caches in Maine, and a few events before it disappeared at an event in New Hampshire. I believe I am about to get revenge for you, Harry. We are going to release a pair of pink flamingo lawn ornaments on Sunday. Their mission is to travel to FRONT YARD caches. Also in the instructions is an invitation to add more flamingos to the flock at will. [insert maniacal laughter here] Let the fun begin! Quote Link to comment
+BBWolf+3Pigs
I found one that was an old pig skull! Yuck! Needless to say, I decided not to pick it up and move it. Quote Link to comment

+Racer57
I have seen a 16 pund bowling ball. Anything cute has a very short life span. Quote Link to comment

+Trucker Lee
I once took snoogans advice and drilled a hole in a $100 bill. Then I attached a tag saying "move me". It didn't last long. Tag! I didn't see any tag! I tried to drill through a Klondike bar to attach a tag once. The filings were so good, I ate the traveler too. Quote Link to comment
+Team GeoBlast
I found one that was an old pig skull! Yuck! Needless to say, I decided not to pick it up and move it. Wow. What a missed opportunity. If it makes it to the Houston area, I bet it gets some friends to travel with it. Flamingos are how our group recognize each other at big events. Everyone has a set for their camp. Here's my camp: I believe Cherokeecachers started the custom, but it's all over S.E. Tx. now... Quote Link to comment
+the hermit crabs
Anything cute has a very short life span. And disgustingly ugly bugs can last a while -- our ickiest-looking bug is one of our more successful ones. Three and half years so far and still on the move. Every time I look at the picture on the TB page I think "What a gross-looking bug!" Quote Link to comment
+fairyhoney
I can't believe cachers who release those cute figurines made out of resin. My son came across a broken one. He got in touch with the owner who proceeded to send a replica of the same figurine (unbelievable). Well, we came across it again and guess what . . . It was broke again. Ceramic is bad, also! +Pegasi
Found the top of a set of dentures named "What's Left of Grandpa". Kinda gross, the mission was to tarvel the world since grandpa never had a chance. Quote Link to comment
+nillbug
I almost won a 16 pound bowling ball at our local GC event. Other than that , a realistic looking(but fake) snake would be pretty funny Quote Link to comment
+Dnalsi
Anything too large to easily fit into a medium sized cache. I'll move bugs that easily fit into my hand ( as in wrap my hand around it), but I won't move bugs with some big toy attached, as they are too hard to find caches for. Quote Link to comment
