Oh the places I have been

For those of you like me, who only started caching recently, how many different countries (and states if you are in the US) have you visited since, lets say, 2002, that you could have gone caching in?

I used to be a merchant mariner and had been to many many countries but I stopped shipping out around 2001, before geocaching really caught on so I won’t count those. So for the most part, my missed opportunities are all vacations I have been on.

I think I’ve been to 7 other countries.

18 additional states including Alaska, which kinda bugs me since I was there just a couple months before discovering geocaching and probably won’t get back there for a long time. :anibad:

So far I only have 1 country (USA) and 3 states but I’ve only been doing this since late October and it’s been tough doing this in crummy weather. Can’t wait till the spring!

For you geocaching veterans, who might not be able to respond to this inquiry, have you ever been somewhere exotic and couldn’t log a find, either because they were DNFs or try as you might, you couldn’t get away from business/pleasure and go caching?

Went for a Sunday arvo drive the other day and just couldn't think of anywhere to go , so drove round and can home.

Geowife and I said that without caching we would have nowhere to go.

It takes us to places within 50km of home that we never knew where there.
