knowschad
I see people posting logs in color sometimes, or putting suggested coordinate changes in bold fonts, etc. I've tried using html, which just gets "tossed out" when I submit, and I've tried using BB Code and that simply gets posted literally. So, what's the secret? Link to comment

So, what's the secret? Nevermind. Apparently I was using invalid BB Code in my earlier testing. I see now that BB Code is the secret, as long as its used correctly. Link to comment

+Miragee
BB Code is the code used on this board, and in cache logs, to get text colors or other formatting. Instead of HTML '<' and '>', it uses the brackets: '[' and ']' along with the code word or letters. Link to comment
knowschad
If you don't mind me asking, what is BB code? When you reply to a message, on the left side of the reply screen, you see the box of smilies. There is a link at the bottom that says "BB Code Help". Click on that and you will see what your options are. Link to comment

So, what's the secret? The secret is simply to have written html code for many, many years. I learned code in 1998 as a DIY, learn-as-you-go-because-I-can't-stand-not-knowing kinda way.
