Jemalong & Family Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Awesome photos!! It makes me want to get out and see the country. What a brilliant advert for the UK and geocaching. Thanks for sharing Not sure how to add photos otherwise I would load some of mine Quote

La Fifi Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 From our Christmas break in the Orkneys. This wee fellow wasn't shy! ....and this one wanted to muscle in on the shot! Taken at the Stennness Standing Stones and Loch of Stenness. Quote
Chananda Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Someone (NinjaPete) saw one of my photos and said I should post it here, so here it is! It was taken at Highland Cache, Glencoe Scotland with a really crap camera from Tesco so the sky is a bit overexposed - hope to get some nicer pics with my new Digital SLR I got for Christmas Ananda (the better part of Chananda LOL) Edited January 8, 2008 by Chananda Quote

talkytoaster Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Here's one of mine of a view near one of my own caches near Horsham, West Sussex; taken on a cold winter morning: I have started a new Flickr account just for geocaching related pictures I have taken, they can be found here: Talkytoaster's Flickr These include a few pictures I took whilst up in Loughborough last week for a conference, and I managed to get a bit of caching in too ;-) Including a picture of 'The Obelisk' in Garendon Park where a cache lives next too. I did find it. The Obelisk GC10G9X Quote
It's Spitting! Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Rivington, a couple of weeks ago. (and it was as cold as it looks) Quote
MartyBartfast Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I know this has been discussed in these forums before, but I'm a bit surprised it hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet. If you go to the Geograph web page there is a project which is collecting pictures of the whole of the UK, if you've got a picture and you know where it was taken why not go along and contribute to the collection? +Us 4 and Jess Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 (edited) There are some amazing photos on this thread If any of the folks who took the photos are going to the Mega Event and would allow me to use their photographs on the Mega Event Calendar, please lt me know through our profile. thanks M Edited February 12, 2008 by Us 4 and Jess Quote
PopUpPirate Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 ARGH!!!!! Hey, It's Spitting - you can see 284 caches on that photo if you look closely enough! Quote
Bud Lightbeer Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Here are a handful of my most recent photographic attempts and the cache codes they are by: Warkworth Castle (GCQ0WT THE HERMITAGE - The River Coquet - Source to Sea) Boulmer Beach Sunset (GCWM3Z Plane to Sea) Lesbury Sunset (GCT5B9 Scrabbling around Lesbury) Thanks for starting this thread, I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at the stunning images you have all taken. +SidAndBob Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Love the great photos. Here's one of Bob on Pen y Fan. The remains of Wellington Bomber t2520 and memorial to it's crew. Sunrise at Hatterrall Hill trigpoint in the Black Mountains (Along the Border) Quote
NinjaCacher! Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Some of my own pictures... Perhaps not best pictures but I love the views from our mountains back home in chocolate-land From GC12XQ1 - about 4000 feet above the lake From GC16935 Oh and a nice panoramic view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco (from GCA7F2 - I did get a chance to go back and log a find about 8 months later ) And you do get some nice scenic views in Japan (GCYWJ8) Oh and a funny one from Japan (GCNW1V) - Lost in Translation? +careygang Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Thought I'd add some from our most recent geocaching trip, just 15 minutes drive from the suburbs of Las Vegas. This one was the view from The Engagement Cache GCJ1E9, which is worth reading even if you'll never come here. Where the arrow says 'CAR' is another cache 'Not Legal Tender' While this one was from near the aptly named 'Take a Picture Why Don't you?' GCZEW9 It beats doing yet another LPC in the Home Depot car park... Quote

Alice Band Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I have a few lurking around, although not as stunning as some of the others on this thread, so here's mine: My son and my partner doing his J. Depp impression at Rydal cave in the Lake district by GC38CD. And another of the same cave showing how busy it was inside: A photo taken on my phone on our way down Hardknott Pass in Cumbria. Got some nice misty moody ones of my village castle which also happens to have a cache by it Quote
