+The Blorenges Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Let's get into the Christmas Spirit! All together now... On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Twelve drummers drumming, eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, five golden rings, Four calling birds, three French hens, Two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree! Lots of bold words above, so let's have your caching pictures or stories relating (however loosely) to any of the above. Let's see if we can find something for each one of them. I'll start off with this picture we took when caching locally on Christmas Day 2005. There they were, all 7 swimming... MrsB Quote
+Rosie's Rangers Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 True Love Rosie fell in love with Tiny the Chihuahua TB two years ago in a cache called Animal Rescue just before Christmas. We couldn't leave it there on its own, so brought it home to spend Christmas with us. Awwhhh!! Quote
Izzy and the Lizard King Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 A PARTRIDGE (but not quite in a pear tree!) We spotted this as we did Aston Locks where we saw loads of other birds as well. Quote
Izzy and the Lizard King Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Really stretching this and using oodles of poetic licence The following photo was taken on the way to 'I "Fort" A Highwayman Lived Here' and illustrates a well known quote from "Twelfth Night" "Some are born great............ Some have Great Ness thrust upon 'em" Quote
Izzy and the Lizard King Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Drummers An encounter with the locals of A King's Retreat?(Worcestershire) waiting for the other eleven to arrive. Quote
+minstrelcat Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 On the way to Niagara: OK - there were more than 6 geese and they weren't laying anything... Quote
