Every single day ever since I found out about Tony I have thought about him and prayed for him. I am not a religious person, I don't pray on a regular basis, hardly ever really. So, I figure if I'm praying it must be heard since its so rare coming from me.

Anyways, ever since I talked to Tracy my world has been rocked. We had just hung out with them and even did a cache run about 2 weeks before Tony's stroke. He was fine. Its so scary to think one minute your fine and the next minute your world is upside down. It scared me. It still scares me. I haven't spoken to Tracy since it first happened. Ive been afraid to find out more. I know I was being selfish and I'm sorry Tracy. I should have been more supportive. I have come to realize that I lived in a fairytale world where no bad ever happens. This definitely shattered that world. Tony is so young. I definitely didn't believe bad things happen to people that I know, especially people that are young and so full of life.

I have thought about Tony and you and your entire family each and everyday. I just wanted you to know that.

 

I just discovered this forum today and I'm glad that there is so many people in T"n"T's lives that are praying for them and offering their support.

 

Please Tracy let me know if there is anything I can do for you and your family. I apologize for not being there more for you.

I was wondering if anyone has considered making coins especially dedicated to T"n"T? I have never done made/designed coins so I dont know the process or the costs. but maybe if someone could go to the same company that makes T"n"T's regular coins maybe they could cut a deal on the cost since the money will be donated. First, you're not being selfish. You're afraid for a friend and that is perfectly normal. I am sure that they know that you are there in spirit, and the prayers we all are doing are making a difference!

 

About 3 years ago my beautiful, young cousin, Jenny, who had a son who was 13 at the time, was diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer. I couldn't bring myself to call her, I just couldn't, and since I lived overseas, I didn't see her. We travelled to the States right before Christmas and I got to see her. I got to place my hand over her healing scar and over her heart and tell her I loved her and that I just didn't know what to say, so I hadn't called, and that I didn't want to be one of those people who hovered because she was sick. We had a long talk, and in the end, she told me she understood me not calling and that she was glad, because so many people who called were just unable to talk TO her, instead, they hovered, mentioned how they were praying, how unfair it was, asked a ton of questions about her illness, when all she wanted was a little normalcy in her life.

 

Jenny died about 6 weeks after our visit, but she knew we loved her and that we were there for her. I'm sure that Tracy and Tank know that you care for them and are there for them, too...

 

Hang in there and keep praying, God listens and they know!

Tracy said today that Tank is about the same - still responding to stimuli and keeping his vitals in good shape, but he still hasn't awakened. The hospital is ready to discharge him but Tracy doesn't feel comfortable with any of the facilities that will take him. So, she has decided to take him home. I'm sure this has been a very difficult decision for her to make, but I have no doubt she can do it. Please keep them in your prayers. Thanks!
