+Rob/Bahb
There's supposed to be an 8-digit serial # on the back of the GPS that we need to provide to get the $50 rebate, but there is no 8 digit number anywhere. Does YOUR 60CSx have a serial number? Thanks, Bahb Quote Link to comment

+trainlove
Magellans will electronically tell you the serial number when you press 'About' on one of it's menu screens. I'm sure Garmins have a similar way. Maybe even the turn on splash screens unless you have modified those. It would be a rare instance when the electronic serial number does not match up with the sticker. Quote Link to comment
+apersson850
A GPSmap 60 CSx from Garmin can show the internal ID number as well. Press MENU twice, then Setup -> System -> MENU. Now you can display the firmware version and the internal ID number. But on a Garmin, this is not the same number as the serial number. The only relation is that Garmin keeps track of which serial number label has gone on which unit, so they can see one number from the other, in their database. Quote Link to comment
+trainlove
I stand corrected. On my Magellan, the electronic and sticker serial numbers DO NOT match, not even close. S/N:CH 035333 on sticker sn: 00010547666 electronically I had thought the sticker would have been 547666 but NOOO. some digits have been changed to protect the innocent. Quote Link to comment
