+Miragee Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Around here, that is the "cool" one. However, I prefer the smaller eTrex line from Garmin. < - - - - - - - - - - - - - I have the Vista HCx and I have the City Navigator, and Topo maps loaded on it. Quote
caroling55 Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 I bought the Delorme PN20 last week and absolutely love it. My boyfriend has the Garmin 60csx and has spent most of today using the PN20, which he says "has much better maps and imagery than what Garmin offers for much less money." I have to agree based on our side-by-side comparisons. The delorme also acquires as fast as his garmin. I also have to say the Topo USA software that came with the pn20 is great fun and has depth well beyond what I have accessed so far. I highly suggest the delorme and I'm glad I saw the sale on this site before I bought. Saved myself over $100 -- not too shabby. p.s. my only wish for the delorme is to be able to take those 3-d maps on the desktop out on the pn20 but possibly they would not look very good at that screen size. They are amazing on the desktop, though. I brought in a track log from a cross-country skiing outing and can see where I was on the desktop in 3-d, on the aerial iamgery, topo maps, etc. Quote
+Team FIREBOY Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 We have 2 Vista CXs they are great whit the City navigator and the topo maps. I have been using it all the time. I deliver pizzas as a part time job, I use my GPS and it has only led me astray 2 times. That is because new streets were not listed. Quote
+Beaverbeliever Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I have a eTrex Legend HCx, fully equipped, and it is the best! Quote
sanramonhunter Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 60csx is a good choice and so is the Vista HCx. They are both comparable units. Go to a store that has both and try them out. Just buy the one that feels best in your hand when you are using it. Some like the joystick on the Vista HCx and some like the extra buttons on the 60csx. you really won't know till you try them both out. Quote
