knowschad
There have been so many assumptions made here about "micros". Please post the best micros that you either have found, or would like to find. Please, no micro "angst" here... we already know how you feel. This isn't about you. Sorry... Here's one that I stumbled across tonight in another thread: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...47-4267694bc6e8 One that has since been archived: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...26-21b103dab082 Another legendary local, http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...=y&decrypt= I didn't find this Magneto, but sure had a great time anyway: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...5f-2d7b1595183f And check out the great logs on THIS micro! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...7c-15bafb5e37ca Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Took me a while to come up with a few for this list, but here are two: Dam Monk. Very cleverly camoflaged and a scenic view of the reservoir. LF's Snack. A micro in mid town Manhattan. It's a small pocket park and the micro is hidden on a section of the Berlin Wall, complete with the original graffiti. That's about all I could see among my finds. I also own a few that I like to think are pretty good. Quote Link to comment
+DocDiTTo
OK, I'll bite. I'm a firm believer that not all micros suck. (Perhaps 99% of them, but not all) Here are a few that were actually worth stepping out of the car for. High Knob Memorial Lycoming County Airport Penny Cache Pray For Daylight was another exceptional micro that is now archived. It involved a LONG underground walk and certainly provided an adventure for a lot of people. Too bad some noobs had to ruin it for everyone. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
We had a lot of fun with this one: Support Me Quote Link to comment

It involved a LONG underground walk and certainly provided an adventure for a lot of people. Too bad some noobs had to ruin it for everyone. I've considered placing a cache like that one but the urban cachers in my area would throw a fit. "I got wet! waaaaa!", "it was dark! boohoo!", "I could have hurt myself OMG!!", etc. Sorry for the off-topic post. Quote Link to comment
+kingsting
Bad Dogg! One of the best Mr. Magneto hides I ever found... Quote Link to comment
+Too Tall John
I'm kinda partial to one of mine. It is actually a multi, but Stage One is a micro that I created. The folks that posted this pic were nice enough to mask the actual nature of the micro in this shot: Cache is at a pretty cool location along the Kancamagus Highway to boot. Pic is of Mopar & Geo Ho near Stage One. Quote Link to comment

I live like 90 miles from Pray for Daylight, and was going to check it out sometime. I guess I hadn't read the logs in a while. That is a bizzare, tragic incident. OK, I'd better say something on topic. My nominees are Golden gate micro near Williamsport, Pa. And Jumbo near London, Ontario. Quote Link to comment
+fairyhoney
There's one in Puyallup, WA that is calling my name . . . Puy's Ironman GC10EGW. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
And Jumbo near London, Ontario. LOL! Not only is there poetry in Jumbo being a micro, but that "Jumbo had a fatal collision with a Grand Trunk locomotive" Quote Link to comment
knowschad
Bad Dogg! One of the best Mr. Magneto hides I ever found... Now, that one (from the logs) sounds like what I'm talkin' about! Loved the hint on it, too! I wanna try it!! Quote Link to comment
+89SC
I didn't think I'd ever put out a micro let alone a nano but I couldn't resist this one which I call my version of a park and grab. It's only 90' from your car- straight up. Olson Tower, GC15KWE http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...ee-e5f0cec5357b The view is amazing! Quote Link to comment
+ace862
This one has gained quite a bit of notoriety here in Kingston Ontario. It even spawned a Support Group night. I am still working on it myself. It has given me many, many hours of frustration. But yet it still calls to me in the night. AMIAT...0h,hum! GC13W86 (Another Micro In A Tree...) If you read the logs, you can get an idea of the frustration it has caused. Yet we still love it Cheers! Quote Link to comment
Tonka_Boy
I won't give the cache number or the location, that would ruin it. But the cache is the small electric box, attached to the large one by magnets. Some people may frown on electric caches, but this one was safe. And a fun micro. +Mopar
Cache is at a pretty cool location along the Kancamagus Highway to boot. Pic is of Mopar & Geo Ho near Stage One. Yes, that was a clever first stage (and an even tougher 2nd stage, since I couldn't find it! ). It's a beautiful spot along my favorite road. Thanks for reminding me I need to finish that one up next year. Been back several times since, but I kinda wanna finish up all the Kanc caches on 2 wheels. I've seen tons of great micros. It's best when the cache fits the location, Like with the one John mentions. A larger cache in that spot would attract too much attention, yet without the cache I probably would never have even noticed the cool covered bridge a few hundred feet off the main road.
