+Harpo Marx Posted December 8, 2007 Share Posted December 8, 2007 My friend just bought a 60Cx and a preloaded City Nav. N. America NT 2008 chip. I've got a similar unit so I tried to load hers for her. I put the chip in and turned on the unit and got a "Can't Unlock Maps" dialog box. The chip didn't come with any kind of instructions. Does anyone know if the chip is even compatible with that model of Garmin. If so, do you know what I'm doing wrong? I went to the map screen menu -> Setup Map -> Info screen but City Nav. isn't showing up there. Quote Link to comment

I'll ask her to try booting it without the chip and see if the same error message pops up. In the mean time, has anyone else encountered this problem? Quote Link to comment
