Oldest active cache in NYC/LI area

This one might be a bit outside of your intended range, but it's only 20 miles (as the crow flies) from the George Washington Bridge, it's the oldest cache in New Jersey, and it's still active.

It's north of the city (about 15-20 miles north of the Bronx/Westchester line), but still well within the New York Metropolitan area. It's about the same age as the Jersey cache in a previous post.

which is only a short drive away and is only a year younger. We haven't seeked the first one I mentioned yet, but we found the 2nd one which is the oldest cache we found to date.
