holograph
I've updated the statistics page. There were only 150 GEOCAC recoveries posted into NGS datasheets during November. The maps have been updated, also. Quote Link to comment
+ShadowAce
Thank you for pointing out to me that I have failed in my duty to continue to check on Benchmarks. Love the maps and I promise to get back to work. Quote Link to comment
holograph
Well, the 150 updates probably indicates a backlog at the NGS more than it indicates a dereliction of duty on the part of geocachers. I'm sure there were more than 150 reports submitted. Quote Link to comment

Much to the dismay of any Latinos that live there. (Sorry. Just a joke! I swear!) Yeah, none of my new recovieries in white (redneck) Ga counties have been updated. :/ Means the December update will be great! Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
Only logged 6 for November. Contest over, back to catching up at geocaching. None were updated. Oh, well. Two of my recoveries were for Monmouth County, NJ. Hopefully that will change the color! Edited December 3, 2007 by Harry Dolphin Quote Link to comment
+maconart
FYI. and to add to the count, I logged in 30 Alabama recovery marks during the month of October. Quote Link to comment
+89SC
I have 30 November finds that I reported to the NGS that aren't showing on the NGS datasheets yet. My October finds were entered pretty quick, the November ones seem to be taking awhile. Quote Link to comment
+shorbird
We always appreciate your diligence, no matter what the numbers are. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
andylphoto
Looks like one of those 150 recoveries colored in Monroe County, MI, and closed the final gap in the line of coast to coast benchmarked counties. Or maybe that happened last month and I was asleep? Speaking of coast to coast, anybody else remember Coast to Coast hardware stores? There's a blast from the past. Wow. Way to go off topic. Bill93
What's the next milestone? Maybe having a chain of colored counties connecting to every continental state in some manner? That isn't terribly far away, but will require some work in Arkansas, Georgia, Colorado, and less in a few others to connect their isolated neighbors. Quote Link to comment
Papa-Bear-NYC
Just wondering: I checked this morning and my Nov. 11th logs have still not found their way into the database. Usually things get put in somewhere between a few days before and a few days after month's end. Anyone out there whose logs did not make Holograph's map, finally get their November stuff into the db yet? Thanks. Edited December 7, 2007 by Papa-Bear-NYC Quote Link to comment
+89SC
Mine still aren't in. I have: 7 on the 10th 1 on the 11th 9 on the 17th 12 on the 23rd 1 on the 24th The ones I found on the 3rd are posted on the data sheets. Quote Link to comment
+maconart
FYI. and to add to the count, I logged in 30 Alabama recovery marks during the month of October. I meant 30 recoveries in November, not October. Which would also color in two more counties in Alabama. Quote Link to comment

+NorStar
I have always enjoyed the statistics and maps since they were first brought out. I've been basically on other things in the past couple years, and it's nice to see what the activity has been since then. I have a comment on a caption on the website. When I click on the map, I go to the map page. The top map (the one with the most colored counties), has a caption saying "Total GEOCAC Recoveries as of December 1, 2007." I think you mean to have an earlier date, since I think the map is showing all the recoveries from the first one submitted. Check. Quote Link to comment
holograph
The first map shows the total (cumulative) GEOCAC recoveries from the beginning of time to the "as of" date. The second map shows the recoveries posted in the previous month. Quote Link to comment
+NorStar
Oops. I guess I somehow mixed the two map captions. Sorry for the false alarm. Quote Link to comment
foxtrot_xray
I know this has been said, but.. how do the stats handle reports that are new one month for a previous month? I.e. I found two markers I forgot to submit recoveries for back in November. I submitted them now. Will they show up? Quote Link to comment
holograph
They show up when the NGS datasheet gets updated. If your recovery was in a prior year, the prior year's statistics get updated, otherwise the current year's statistics get updated. Quote Link to comment
