Hadrians Wall walk

I am doing the Hadrians Wall walk next April (2008) and I wondered if anyone knew of a list of caches that can be done on that route.

I dont want to wander off the route however as I will be with two colleagues and it is a walk for charity. So i will be looking for nearby caches that can be done easily along the hadrians wall path.

So if there is a list in existance - please guide me to it - it would save me a lot of searching

I haven't got a list but if you look at my logs from 6th to 12th Sept 2007, you will find many of the Hadrian Wall caches on them.

google earth will show all the caches and you can decide if they are too far off the walk.

I did a couple of days on the Wall with my son, mcd1, in July and produced a bookmark list for a short section with 18 caches actually on the route.

You should also be able to set up a "cache along a route" or I'm sure someone here would love to do it for you (and upload it for the rest of us )

Can you do caches along a route that aren't along a road?? That would be very useful for planning long distance walks, but I thought it was only along roads.

You can set up any sort of route: roads, paths or just a line across the countryside. If you have Memory Map or something similar it's quite easy and I often use the facility.
