Vista HCx carring case & size of card.

Hello everyone!

Two questions for anyone.

 

1) I am buying a Vista HCx for my daughter & looking for a good case to carry it in, any suggestions? I see two on Amazon, any ideas if these are good, see this....My Webpage and this one My Webpage

 

2) Can she use a two Gig Micro card in the Vista HCx?

I have the Military Grade case for my Vista. I like it so far. It would be much more protective than the other you have listed.

 

Yes you can use the 2gig card. I have one and can put two sets of maps for my entire state on it with some space to spare.

I have the Military Grade case for my Vista. I like it so far. It would be much more protective than the other you have listed.

 

does that military grade one open up easily when you want it too? I link to my PC often so I would want access to the USB port on the back. the web site site says there is access to the batteries in three seconds so maybe it does open easily.

Does it open like a clamshell or do you slide the unit out from the case? I find that sliding the unit out from my current cover puts pressure and wears out the thumb button on the front of the unit.
