+Desert_Warrior
Using a PC, if you type <ALT> 167 you will get the degree charactor. º as in 31º 12.345 106º 67.890 How do you do that with a MAC? Thanks. Quote Link to comment

Wintertime
Option-K is actually a "ring above," used in Swedish (and maybe some other languages?). The degree symbol is typed on a Mac with Option-Shift-8, thusly: 32°. Note that it's a little bigger than the "ring above." It's also slightly different from the masculine ordinal (Option-0). robertlipe
Also note that if you're writing a cache page, this is almost certainly *not* what you want to do. If this is about a cache page, tick "is html" and write ° so it'll actually render correctly on multiple computer types running different programs. Quote Link to comment
+fratermus
If I remember correctly, you press clover-apple-happyface-happyface-bomb-alt-d. :-) A gentle dig at the funky key combos I remember from a decade back. Quote Link to comment
+zafwon
i use the ole "copy & paste then edit" from another set of coords... Quote Link to comment
+Desert_Warrior
OK - thanks. I don't have a MAC - but a friend does, and that question came up. She is not a Geocacher - but a Letterboxer. But I knew Geocachers would have the answer. A rare day - it is SNOWING in El Paso. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment

Thanks. On a MAC, go to preferences>International. Click "input Menu" button. Check "on" to Keyboard Viewer and Show input menu in menu bar. Then whenever you need some special character, click the flag in the main menu bar, a keyboard appeares and you can try out all the key combos. Quote Link to comment
