CallawayMT
I know that anybody who frequents this forum will enjoy reading this article written in the latest issue of the American Surveyor Magazine. It is written about Henry Gannett, the Chief Geographer for the United States Geological Survey in the late 1800's. Henry Gannett probably had more to do with the USGS mapping and brass survey monuments that we all love to find, than any other person. Jerry Penry wrote another excellent historical article that is well worth your time to read. American Surveyor Magazine Article CallawayMT Quote Link to comment
