EraSeek
I use mine for paperless caching. I downloaded Cachemate and use it to load caches pages into the palm. I don't know anything about turning a palm into a GPS. Quote Link to comment
GPSlug
Magellan used to make a version of their GPSCompanion that would clip onto a Palm m500 series. You might be able to find one on eBay. But it's kind of old technology at this point and may not be worth it. Quote Link to comment
naviguesser74
does it have bluetooth? easy, if it does. don't know how if it doesn't. Quote Link to comment
Miragee
The Palm M500, with Cachemate installed, is great for paperless caching. I've been using one for more than two years now. However, the processor is slow compared to newer PDAs. I doubt it could be used with a GPS card. Edited November 18, 2007 by Miragee Quote Link to comment
NightPilot
You can use the M500 with any GPS which uses serial communications, and for which you can find a cable. Cables are available from PC-Mobile and Pfranc. The M500 has the 'universal connector', the middle generation of Palm connectors. You'll need software, of course. For caching, you can use Cetus or CacheNav, which comes as a plugin to Cachemate. Cetus has more features, but doesn't completely integrate into Cachemate. Quote Link to comment
