+MickieD
I purchased a Premium Membership to Geocaching.com on Friday, 11/03. I have my debit card receipt and everything. How long does it generally take for the membership to be approved/ processed/ whatever-ya-call-it?? Is it an approval process? Do I have to learn a secret handshake and prepare for an induction ceremony involving blood or spit? Quote Link to comment
+Too Tall John
You should be getting a knock on the door soon. All will be revealed then. I can say no more in mixed company. The Platinum Members are watching... Quote Link to comment

+Robespierre
try taking a picture of yourself with your thumb under your chin and your pointer finger pointing to the side. Email this picture to the various approvers. That should work. Quote Link to comment

+Too Tall John
Don't be afraid. It only stings for a second. They say the ache goes away in a year or so. I'll let you know. Quote Link to comment
+TrailGators
I thought they said "turn your head and cough" first. Edited November 5, 2007 by TrailGators Quote Link to comment
+Arndtwe
I think that you should get an email with a "code" that you have to put into a box on geocaching.com. That doesn't help very much, but I think that a link is provided in the email to the box I'm talking about. If not, I don't know the link, but you could probably find it pretty easily. +MickieD
stings? year??? *gulp* I can handle it. I'm tough. I think. "Turn your head and cough" has no implications for me. LOL Quote Link to comment

Seriously, though, I don't remember too clearly how soon it happened, but you should get an email soon, maybe already did, telling you what to do next. Then the guys come knock on your door.... +Moose Mob
If you have any junk mail or spam filters set, you should check those. Otherwise, send an e-mail with any particulars to Contact@ Geocaching.com so they can check from thier end. Quote Link to comment

+Jeep_Dog
I never got knocks. No nets. No tasers. No abductions from creatures with big eyes who made me turn my head and cough. Nothing. My first indication that I had become a premium member was the aura that surrounded me. Then, the next weekend, I found caches with 95% more efficiency. Premium membership is not something you do, but rather something you are. Quote Link to comment
+RussellM
Really though, 2 days at most, and also remember to check your junkmail folders. Quote Link to comment
+MickieD
I'm in! I dind't PayPal, I used a debit card. Maybe that's the difference? Now if the G'kids caches will just get approved... They are buggin' the stuffin' out of me. LOL Quote Link to comment
Keystone
If you didn't use PayPal (where activation is nearly instantaneous), your premium membership must be processed manually by Groundspeak's customer service staff. They work Monday through Friday, so if you paid last Friday, activation on Tuesday is actually pretty speedy. Thanks for your patience, and for your support of the website!
