Team NeoGeo! we have arrived

NeoGeo!

Recommended Posts

What can we say folks? We are here, and we don't care about anyone’s cat. So far it has only been two days since Team NeoGeo! started our whirlwind tour or Baton Rouge LA and we already dominate the landscape. As some of you may or may not know, we here in Team NeoGeo! just bought a brand spankin new H3. The H3 is beautiful enough, what could red blooded American men do to make such a thing awe inspiring? If you answered painting an American flag design over the entire thing, well sir you are correct. We were going to ad the Jesus is my co-pilot bumper sticker, but since he loves America the most it would seem a little redundant.

Anyway, all of you out there in Geocaching land watch out. When you are walking through the woods or wading in waist deep water to get that micro-cache, keep one thing in mind. We have probably already been there and done our 300 push-ups next to the hide.

Perhaps a different colour scheme would have been awe-inspiring... :D

Welcome to the Worldwide hobby!

Team NeoGeo! thanks you for the greeting. However, we do not agree with your first comment regarding the color scheme of "Freedom One". Currently, those are the colors we urinate. That is how dedicated we are to the cause... We are getting it checked out at the local free clinic. Not because we do not like the patriotic display of our bodies, but for some unkown reason to Team NeoGeo! our girlfriends do not seem to like it.

Welcome, but this part of the forum is meant for topics that are eityher to do with hunting a cache or something unusual about a cache. You post os neither of these, best to post it in the getting started part of the forum.

We at Team NeoGeo! knew this was going to happen. So in preparation for this moment we thought long an hard about what we would say. (deleted by moderator) Bam!

(Picture can stay where it is I guess, but I've removed it from our G-Rated forums. It wasn't that bad, but not quite G-Rated. You've been "Bammed" by the moderator on your second post!)

We came across this scene while geocaching "ParkLawn Shenanigans". So we no longer need to validate being in this section of the forums.

Bam!

Anyone who reads this thread knows it already - waste of time. NeoGeo was a video game from the 1990's, and just like it - this topic isn't worth any more attention.

Maybe a moderator could close it?

It was a game console from the 1990s, close but no cigar. Here is the Wiki link if you would like to learn the magic of NeoGeo. Our favorite games for it are Fatal Fury and Metal Slug.

Not to menton we have the "!" on the end of it. Also, slightly off topic, your name almost spells "arrows" except you have a "T". We, personally, would lose the "T".

You are sure to win yourself many friends on this forum with your obvious humility, NeoGeo. I mean... for someone with as many difficult caches as you have under your belt, to come on here and talk with us mere mortals is very impressive. I actually took the time to average the stats for your six caches to date... difficulty 1.66 / terrain 1.25. It quickly becomes obvious why you had to get a Hummer 3 for the sport. How else are you going to get to that Albertson's parking lot skirt lifter? Or the Family Dollar skirt lifter. "Been there, Done that... we already dominate the landscape"... you betcha!

I'm glad to see somebody that understands that Jesus, too, can have His favorites. Just because this is an international sport and an international forum doesn't imply that anyone should have the right to be offended because you think that America is the country that Jesus loves the best. I mean... its the country that allowed you to afford your customized HumVee, after all. And the country that you were BORN in (presumably) for that matter, so naturally its His favorite.

You're also likely to win friends here by your tenancity. Nobody likes anyone that backs off the minute somebody says that they are posting off-topic. MUCH more preferable to do as you did and come back with an even less-relevant post, backed up by an irrelevant photo. You've just gotta love bullheaded people like yourselves!!

Welcome to the forums. Our forums are G-Rated. Please keep this in mind as you post. You will see more of me since I review your territory. If you place a cache, I will most likely publish it.

Speaking of logbooks, here is a shot of me holding one. I guess I could have done 300 push-ups at this cache if I was facing uphill. Considering the 50-60 degree slope, it would be almost like standing up. :D

At first, we were not sure to apologizes, be angry, or take these well formed three paragraphs as a compliment knowschad. We just took a vote and decided to view them in a positive light due to the fact that in 99% of the cases, sarcasm is lost in text documents. Due to this we in Team NeoGeo! never use sarcasm in our posts, and rely on the cold hard facts to support every aspect of our statements. Well, we do not personally back them up, but you can research them if you like. So thank you, and it is an H3. HMMWVs are the original GM military use vehicles. Wiki article included.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Mobility...Wheeled_Vehicle

P.S. We are to lazy to average your Geocache numbers, which we are sure must be respectable. We will give you the benefit of the doubt on this one. Oh wait, it does it for you. Did you really take the time to average out our numbers or did you look them up?

Here are yours.

http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=eb...e5-8935a341f289

Let us see, average difficulty 1.94 and average terrain 1.89 it seems. You posted this link also.

lewis82

We would have quoted you, but we were disappointed that you only wrote ten words (We counted the punctuation to give you a higher number). knowschad even wrote 246 words (not counting punctuation).

We suppose we owe an apology to everyone who saw our picture. Our goal was not spread rampant pornography all over the internet, but simply to provide what we thought would be and interesting sight that we spied during a Geocache hunt. Not to mention, see on the discovery channel. However, you would have to sit through three or four episodes of Myth Busters then Cash Cab to actually see a documentary anymore. All kidding aside:

You've been "Bammed" by the moderator on your second post!

EDIT: When writing about knowschad's statistics we incorrectly stated the date of when the statistics were accumulated.

You are a scholar and a scholar, we at Team NeoGeo! thank you for the greeting.

EDIT: Ouch, sorry for that horrible sentence. We were trying to say "a gentleman and a scholar". However, it is not easy using these feeble keyboards. We have already broken three (with our justice and in no small part to our 300 push-ups at every cache) and two have burst into flames due to the rocking of the H3 during on-site posts combined with the ferocity in which we type.

Me too... sit through mythbusters and cashcab to watch a documentary, now that's funny! :D

It is tough sometimes to see what the History Channel and Discovery have turned into. We in Team NeoGeo! respect WWII veterans and everything that they have sacrificed for our great country, but it has turned into the WWII channel. Discovery does still have good shows and they are interesting, but there are only so many time we can watch a man, on our 30" plasma in the back of the H3, survive on the African plain by eating a dead zebra.

From "my" point of view it seams that you were negative from the start. It sounded like you were saying that ("we don't care what you think of us, We have a H3 with a nice paint job. We are better and richer then you.") I don't know why I have gotten this impression, but it doesn't matter.

You will find that certain people love to have an argument no matter who is right and who is wrong in the forums.

Like so many others I have stopped getting involved with petty arguments over stupid stuff. That is why I haven't bothered going in to the forums any more, Whats the point? Today I am here looking to see if something was posted about a topic I am looking for.

Gitting on the bad side of cachers in the forums is not a good idea, word travels fast and you will be surprised that if you ever go to an event you will meet some one who has read something you have posted. You may be thinking that the chances of this happening is very rare, but it's not. People in NY know of me from the forums. I have only been to 3 events and 2 were in NY and the other was mine that had people from NY come over to it.

So in short, you might want to watch what you say and how its worded. Its not worth the fight or the negative impression that other cachers will have of you. What you drive or what you are worth doesn't matter in this (Hobby, game, sport) no matter what you call it.

Team NeoGeo! is an equal opportunity organization funded largely by kiting checks. We pride ourselves in not having taxable income or a permanent address. Okay granted, we did make the comment that we did not care about your cat. Several members of the Team own various pets including our mascot Christopher Columbus the Emu with a slight limp. Much like America he may be slow to get there, but once he does you better watch out he is a biter. We do not even have a GPS other than the on-board/in-dash version that came in our H3, so we know what it is like to rough it.

We at Team NeoGeo! are happy though that you think our paint job is nice.

And so? I was just giving my opinion (IE. I agree with them). I think that this forum is not a contest, and even if in this post I only wrote two words, you could take a look at my posts (and also at my posts at geocaching-qc.com and geocaching-saglac.com) and see that I wrote way more than 10 words (not counting ponctuation) and that in the same time, I helped people (by giving them answers to their questions, helkping them in choices), just not like you.

I think that freedom of expression is crucial, therefore I respect your choice of expressing yourself in this post.

P.S. I wrote more than 10 words this time. Happy?

P.S.II: Hummers are just another way to contribute destroying earth's atmosphere. I wish petrol stocks won't last more than five years. Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: don't expect me to come around here again, I've had enough. This is just plain loss of time.

We at Team NeoGeo! have no problem with you only writing ten words. We were glad to see a meaningful post that express your opinion however wrong it is. Also, we are environmentally friendly opting to buy the H3 and not the Ford Excursion like we had originally planed. The V10 4wd model (and we drive everywhere in 4wd) gets about 9.6 mpg while the streamlined eco-friendly H3 gets an almost unbelievable 14.7, clearly the right choice for gentlemen such as ourselves.

As for the reserves running out in five years, we are all for oil drilling in Alaska and every other place in the world that might just have oil, because that is exactly what will happen if it is announced today oil is running out. Uncontrollable inflation, Congress allowing oil companies access to wildlife and nature reserves with oil under them, and lastly let us not forget fighting over where the oil is now. Yes there will be measures taken to insure that we have alternative fuel sources, but five years is not a long time in terms of an economy the size of the U.S. Do not forget China or Russia. Russians put their criminals in the trunk of their patrol cars, not in the back seat like our police (we saw this a few time on World's Wildest Police Videos and laughed). Have you ever seen Big Trouble in Little China?

If not you should, it has absolutely nothing to do with what we are talking about. Team NeoGeo! loves all Kurt Russel movies, except for Overboard but that was Goldie Hawn's fault.

We like Mythbusters and Cash Cab. However, Team NeoGeo! does not like Mythbusters on five times in a row. We do like Jamie's mustache, but not the beret. Only some men can pull off the beret, us and Michael Cain.

About the roux, we never cook except in regards to grenades, and the Hank Williams Sr. song "Hey good lookin what ya got cookin?" The answer to which is American justice mixed in with a healthy dose of John Wayne for good measure.

Wow! You guys are awesome! I'll alert the governor of Lousiana to your presence. Perhaps you could let us know which caches you plan on finding next so we could roll a red, white, and blue carpet from the parking lot to the cache! It may be difficult in some situations, but I'll put a team of engineers on it ASAP!

Here is another SUV that you could probably use:

We at Team NeoGeo! do not, and do not wish to have any affiliation to the current governor or governor elect Bobby Jindal. Reason number one being our back taxes that evidently have not been forgotten, which is why we pay for everything in cash so as not to leave a paper trail. Reason number two has to do with a bench warrant for an over due parking ticket. The letter said it had something to do with no parking on the capitol steps, but we do not remember seeing a no parking sign. Lastly, because every person whom we have seen with a Bobby Jindal campaign bumper sticker on their vehicle (if you could call a something without 4wd a vehicle) drove pretty badly. This may just be our imagination, but we have never been wrong before.

We would not mind the red carpet. We typically do not walk more than a few feet to a cache due in large part our H3. We find that if you get about a 100m distance from the tree, line floor it, and aim for a less dense part of the line, you can make it to the cache. If not we get one of our interns to attach the wench to a tree and pull us to the cache while we watch old M*A*S*H episodes.

As for the horse we tried it once, but it is so hard to pour gasoline in one of those things.

Pssssst... Kurt Russell isn't a real action hero. (I still liked that movie though.)

If you can't make gumbo, what in the world are you doing in Louisiana? Don't tell me you don't like French Bread. I'm getting worried about you guys.

;)

By the way, the unwritten guideline for listing your first cache in Louisiana is that your best gumbo recipe must be included in the reviewer notes. If it is unacceptable by me, I will archive your submission flat out. Please keep this in mind as you decide to place your first cache.

French Bread? Do you mean Freedom Bread? Unfortunately, Texas has this policy where you can't mess with it and we were forced to jump the boarder. We heard something about free FEMA money so we decided to stop in for awhile. Well that and the casinos. We were unaware of this gumbo law that must have been passed during Edwards' term as governor. The state must have been pretty mixed up then. At least Duke was not elected right? Right? Did he not get around 30%? So, some of you people out there must have voted for him.

We asked intern #2 if he had any idea how to make gumbo. At which time, he threw a copy of La Cuisine Creole at us, himself just having flunked out of culinary school. We promptly set it down and will get around to reading it once Louisiana pulls away from Mississipi in the race for worst state as it nearly last place in everything important. However, isn't it in the top 10 for AIDS per capita?

I find these guys a refreshing and amusing addition to this forum. It's certainly a break form the "I hate the xyz cache types" and "I don't like the xyz feature" threads.

We at Team NeoGeo! appreciate this type of feedback. Furthermore, we suggest an off topic forum where people who do not like us do not have to see our name ever again. In addition we are now opening our doors to questions related to everyday life. How much do we feed our dog? How the battle of Hastings kicked off? More to the point if we do not get questions we will start to answer ones that we think should be asked. As you may already know, we have an answer to everything. Also to our knowledge we have never been wrong about anything, so rest assured you are dealing with professionals.

Furthermore, we suggest an off topic forum where people who do not like us do not have to see our name ever again........Also to our knowledge we have never been wrong about anything, so rest assured you are dealing with professionals.

Um, there already is an off topic forum. :D You need to be a Premium Member to see it.

And...even if you went there, people who do not like you will still have to see your name.

We are not going to pay money every month to access an off topic forum. Personally we have never paid for anything that was received online. Come to think of it, we are stealing our neighbor’s wireless internet at this very moment. We realize you get some special secret perks or whatever you may call them, but we are men of the people who refuse to pay your $3 dollars a month.

We have never and will never post any pictures of our vehicles, or our homes on the internet. Our address is fake for reasons stated in previous posts that and it is just plain stupid to give anyone where you live.

We thought this one was better at first

hummer_6s.jpg

It looked like there was a woman in the front seat though, and women never get to ride in the front seat of our H3. We were afraid that the increased amount of testosterone generated from being in an H3 with such a fine paint job would immediately cause hair growth in women sitting in the front seat. Even we have to get our beards trimmed after a hard day of driving. That and we have two wenches, one in the front and back also as we stated above.

We at Team NeoGeo thought it showed up as

http://www.houseofkolor.com/hok/images2/ho...Hummerpaint.jpg

instead it showed up as

http://img.geocaching.com/user/414a58be-5d...65db098e649.jpg

We freely admit that that is not our picture. We thought the original URL would show up on our profile, but evidently it did not. Kill us, drag our names through the mud, get us caught in an airport with three bottles of viagra mixed with one cup of vodka to try and fool customs. We thought it looked like a milk shake... but they did not find it nearly as refreshing. Anyway, we do not go away. We lie, cheat, and steal into the hearts and minds of America. We could really care less if you are not American.

We like Canada. Hey a Canadian shot down the Red Barron in WWI. That is one good thing. Of course we do not like Quebec. Germany was alright, you just can not give them guns or they go crazy. They have this talent for starting world wars then getting defeated in the end.

I'll save the rest for another post, which is pretty much just England. All the rest are communist anyway.

Alright, we at team NeoGeo! have been flooded with mail asking us one question. Here is a sample of one:

Team NeoGeo! you guys are clearly the leading authority on all things American. Who is your pick of the presidential candidates for the 08' elections?

Out of respect for the author of this email we omitted their name. Our presidential pick is clearly and without question former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.

mike_huckabee_bio.jpg

You can view this and more pictures at

www.mikehuckabee.com

For all you web Nazis out there documenting my pictures.

We feel he embodies everything America needs in a president. Research is left up to you, but why waste your time right? Just watch TV and choose the name you hear the most.

More importantly for vice president we choose Matt Lesko.

lesko.jpg

Anyone that crazy who can still make millions of dollars while wearing question marks deserves our attention. Maybe not for public office, but someone should really keep an eye on him for the safety of America. What better place to keep an eye on him than in Washington. Also we cannot think of a more qualified individual than him to jumpstar America's economy with no nonsense lingo and a smile that screams where is my medication.

In closing, Huckabee I will negotiate but Lesko stays.

We are Team NeoGeo! and we approve this message... Unless there are legal ramifications involved, in which case we have no idea who wrote this or who Team NeoGeo! is.

Team NeoGeo! has found the forum, All's Right With the World. Good to see you've finally gotten the hang of this internet thing. Keep it up, and don't let those interns give you any lip.

Ha! Ladies and gentlemen we give you Jopp, so far the only man who has looked upon greatness with his own eyes. At first he may have doubted our motives when he saw are american flag top-hats, but he proved himself as a true American.

Yes, my Platinum Membership perk is: mtn-man, feeding me peeled grapes by hand - but I have a feeling that you guys wouldn't appreciate that perk.:anibad:

Welcome to the forums. Our forums are G-Rated. Please keep this in mind as you post. You will see more of me since I review your territory. If you place a cache, I will most likely publish it.

Speaking of logbooks, here is a shot of me holding one. I guess I could have done 300 push-ups at this cache if I was facing uphill. Considering the 50-60 degree slope, it would be almost like standing up. :D

One of my favorite photos. :anibad:

I am not the goofy guy in the center. I am the goofy guy furthest down on the left.

Some of you could also be a tad bit nicer. "Bullheaded"? Nice welcome for someone new to the sport.

Respect: Respect the guidelines for forum usage, and site usage. Respect Groundspeak, its employees, volunteers, yourself, fellow community members, and guests on these boards. Whether a community member has one post or 5,000 posts, they deserve the same respect.

Moving to Getting Started. Hopefully you will get some better replies there.

I never knew Vinny had cajun cousins. Welcome.

LOL! ;);):):):):):)

Perfect. :)

Team NeoGeoexclamationpoint, do keep in mind that these are geocaching forums. We don't care about who you want for president. We only care about geocaching. If you don't want to pay for the ability to post in the Off Topic Forums, then so be it. Just keep in mind that you do have to follow the forum guidelines, which you are skirting (but at least are giving some good comedy). Some of your posts are going off in the "lack of respect" area. Please don't make me use any of my admin bricks. Louisiana and Texas are both a nine iron for me.

My dear Pepper, you would be correct on all counts. Silver Peak was a great caching day. The other guy is know to some as "whatshisname". Next time you see him, mention that to him. You will see him laugh (and look around for me so he can kill me).

And Ambrosia, anything for you. Platinum Membership is great. Just ask the puppymonster.

Sorry Neo, you have to earn your gumbo from me. You have a LONG way to go yet.

Well, we are done. It was fun for the few days it lasted. Team NeoGeo! would like to say thanks to everyone that replied to us and the emails we received, but our objective is not to get banned from the forum, which is where this was going. We will still be out there Geocaching in Louisiana and writing log entries with our typical style. So look us up if you are wondering what the next chapter will be.

We asked intern #2 if he had any idea how to make gumbo. At which time, he threw a copy of La Cuisine Creole at us, himself just having flunked out of culinary school.

Well something worked somewhere because the gumbo recipe you added to the reviewer notes for your first cache was indeed a good one. While not as good as my dad's secret recipe, it did indeed include proper roux creation and the all important correct procedure for okra preparation. I was shocked that it did not include andouille, but you get an "A" for the effort. Congrats on getting your first cache published. It is all fun from here. :(

On the assumption that Team NeoGeo? will keep looking in to the forums, It kinda remindes me of...

Bob Dole...

Bob Dole...

Bob Dole...

Make your way out to Colorado and get some "Rocky Mountain Pinstriping" on that Chevy of yours.

OH wait! It probably wouldn't make it!!

Just recently, I had some added pinstriping done by who else? "The Rajin Cajun!"
