+The Leprechauns Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I think it's amazing and creative! That makes five "Wow" posts to one "Stupid" post. Quote
+Nachtraaf Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 This is really a cake to be jealous for...mmm...hungry ;-) Happy birthday Andy! Regards, Hans Quote
+frizz Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I'm predicting that this cache won't last long! Quote
+Dos Amigas Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Now that's the stuff great memories are made of! Nice job! Quote
+pwcinpc Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Great cake!! Bad spelling!! Hurry and eat it before your nephew realizes it. Quote
+The Leprechauns Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I didn't even want to mention the typo, but since it's been brought up, my advice is to change the "H" to a "K" and say it was intentional. It's an official geocake, listed on geocaking.com! It's all good. Quote
+mousekakat Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I think that's about the stupidest looking cake I've ever seen. Guessing that someone here doesn't/didn't get many birthday cakes and therefore has nothing to compare to... Great cake! I like to make and decorate cakes, did you use fondant to get such a smooth surface or?? Quote
+Rockin Roddy Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Don't let the MIS bring you down...he's just jealous of your beautiful cake!! And don't worry about the spelling, it's an original and one to be proud of!! GREAT JOB!! Quote
+shellbn4 Posted October 27, 2007 Author Posted October 27, 2007 yeah the spelling was corrected i just didn't get a pic of it after the fact. Thanks for the comments. Andy went nuts when he saw it. and it was covered in rolled fondant. Quote
+Mopar Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I think that's about the stupidest looking cake I've ever seen. I think that's about the stupidest post I've ever seen. Quote
+sseegars Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I think that's about the stupidest looking cake I've ever seen. Very rude! Awesome cake. Maybe I can get one for my birthday...maybe I can get the wife to bake two and then we could send one to MIS! Doc Quote
+Ambrosia Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I'm predicting that this cache won't last long! Hey, now....wait a minute! Caches are supposed last at least 3 months to be listed on gc.com. Hmmm.... Quote
+Capt Biggins Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I think that's about the stupidest looking cake I've ever seen. Boy someone got up on the wrong side of the river this morning?? Me personally think that is very creative!!! Quote
+Team GeoBlast Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I think that's about the stupidest looking cake I've ever seen. Did this make you feel better to say this? Quote
+Team GeoBlast Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 (edited) That's a very awesome cake!! I bet your nephew loved it!! I think Andy is lucky to have such a fun Mom and Dad. A store bought cake would disappear from memory shortly after it was eaten. It's efforts by parents like this one that create memorable moments in a child's life and can't help but shape his own imagination and personality into something unique and special. Huge kudos! Edited October 27, 2007 by Team GeoBlast Quote
+Lotho Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Very nice cake, well done. I dont know if that cache would last long in the wild..=D Quote
+Biggi_H Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 wow ... so great ... ! I´d love to do FTF ;-) Quote
+Flo. Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 That is an awesome cake. Very good job. I'm 31 and if I got a birthday cake like that I would be excited myself. Happy birthday Andy. Keri Quote
+michigansnorkelers Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 (edited) OH MAN! My Birthday was October 18, and all I got was a STORE BOUGHT CAKE!!! I'M REALLY ENVIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! (And, I just printed a picture of it for my wife to bake on my NEXT birthday). Edited October 27, 2007 by michigansnorkeler Quote
+Too Tall John Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 (edited) Awesome cake! My wife tried making me a geocaching cake for my last birthday, it was cool, but this is incredible! On another tangent, there used to be a guy I knew in school. He had some serious issues. He'd shout out the most inappropriate things at the most inopportune times. Knowing that he had a serious problem, nobody hated him for it, although sometimes I think he hated himself for it. We all felt really bad for him... . Edited October 27, 2007 by Too Tall John Quote

+Seasoned Warrior Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I think that's about the stupidest looking cake I've ever seen. Penalty flag! Engaging typing before brain! 10 yards! You lose, now go back to your cage. Awesome cake! Quote
wwflover13 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 You have some serious artistic talent! I don't think I'd want to cut it up and eat it, it looks so great! Your nephew must be very happy, I certainly would be if it were for me. Quote
magellan315 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Doesn't this violate the no food in caches rule?? Or do we need a new one, no food as caches. Great Job. Quote

+Shuckymomo Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I thought temporary caches weren't allowed?? Awesome idea!!! Quote
+Isonzo Karst Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Very very nice - almost too fine to eat! Here's cake that was served at CITO event - just a regular sheet cake, but pretty nicely camo'ed. We managed to find it anyway Quote
+Mudfrog Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Sorry the pic was to big Very nice and cool to boot! My birthday is in October, oh shoot, already passed. But i guess it's better to ask early anyways,,, would you do mine next year? Quote
+michigansnorkelers Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 WHAT are the DARK GREEN sections made of? Frosting or something else? They look shiny, like they were made of melted-down gummy bears or something. Quote
+SUp3rFM & Cruella Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) Just AWESOME. What a great cake! Geocahing.com? :-p Edited October 29, 2007 by SUp3rFM & Cruella Quote
+sTeamTraen Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Wow, awesome cake. But haven't you read the guidelines? No food allowed in a cache! Guess that means you'll have to eat it before the reviewers find out about it! Quote
Frogblaster77 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Great idea! If that was in front of me I'd probably break it by trying to open it to see what's inside! Quote
continental drifter Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 MMMMMMMMMM cake! Very cool! Quote
+shellbn4 Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Wow, awesome cake. But haven't you read the guidelines? No food allowed in a cache! Guess that means you'll have to eat it before the reviewers find out about it! Yeah that was exactly what he did. I called him over and said "hey, i got you a new ammo box. So tomorrow we can go out and place a cache". he said, " cool " and reached for the handle to open it,. Than looked at me and said" heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wait this is a cake". ......... Thanks for all the nice comments and yes i did correct the spelling . I had made it at 3 in the morning and sleep took the better of me. I think maybe i should start taking orders huh? Quote
+Camper17 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Great looking cake! Reminds me of stuff I see on the Food Channel. What kind of swag did Andy find when he "opened it up"? Quote
