Alardyce
Hi there We're going on a canal trip - a week along the Brecon canal. To liven things up for my ten year old nephew I was thinking of geocaching along the route... but unless I know the postcodes of places along route, how can I arm myself with suitable waypoints beforehand? (also bearing in mind that they need to be within a reasonable distance from the canal too) Is there an easy way to search for caches in a location other than post-code, county, state or country? If not then how can I find postcodes along the route...? Any comments welcome Cheers Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Become a premium member for just $3 a month. You can then make use of caches-along-a-route feature. You can use Microsoft Streets and Trips or mapsource maps to plot out a path along the canal and then run a Pocket Query to return you up to 500 caches along your desired route. Return here once your a PM and somebody can lead you through the particulars depending on what soiftware you have. Quote Link to comment
+zafwon
Can I export a file from Google Earth? If so how? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Trucker Lee
After making a route in GE, go to the top of the directions and right click. Save As a GPX file, store it where you can easily find it. Go to Caches on A Route at Geocaching.com, and upload from there. Quote Link to comment
