+keewee
This is getting taken a little out of context - the context of my original comment was that in New Zealand adults don't get into it, as it is not a kiwi tradition, but that is changing. I in no way dispute that this is the case in the US, as I already know that to no be true at that many adult do get into the spirit of Halloween over there. Please take this completely tongue in cheek....Whats wrong with adults in NZ? Seriously though maybe the Great G-P will make a stop there for you and maybe at the Cachetoberfest Im going to this weekend. LMAO... We take our selves seriously! I'm hoping he will make a stop here and drop one of those cool coins off! I have my pumpkin seeds in hand. Baby Bear... too small... Peek A Boo... too small... Jack Harverst... better... Atlantic Giant... Now THAT sounds about right!!! Shame I only have seeds of the other ones We just never grew up with Halloween, but at least our kids are, so there is hope for future generations of adults! I'm going to start looking around to see if I can find a "real" pumpkin - ie. an orange one - as I am determined to make a jack-o-lantern... and not out of one of the greeny/grey ones we usually have here. I'm not sure I will have much luck, but I'm going to try!! Failing that I may have to make a flame proof paper mache one! Edited October 10, 2007 by keewee Quote Link to comment

The pumpkin crop here in MIchigan isn't very good this year because of the weather. I sure hope that it doesn't keep the Great Geo-Pumpkin away. I believe, I believe, I believe. Oh Great Pumpkin please don't leave me sitting in the patch again this year. Congrats to all the recent recipients. I love the idea of all the mystery geocoins. Quote Link to comment

She and MamaCache worked very hard and put on an awesome Event!! Thank you GeoPumpkin, for treating them to your beautiful coin! I am sorry we didn't see you at the Event (or maybe we DID see you, but you were in costume, so we didn't know it was you!!) lol Oh well, we will cross our fingers and hope you find your way to Abilene so that we may add you to OUR collection!! +Pabloturtle
Maybe……..Yes, maybe…Oh, Some day. I see a time when Humans will no longer partake of the flesh of our Orange brethren. Especially during this time of Harvest. When millions of our Pumpkin friends are savagely removed from their homes. Gathered, “No I say,” herded like lowly beasts. Barbarically displayed outside local markets in their cardboard prisons. Brothers and Sisters, did you know within your own Towns and States parents, far and wide, still practice the primitive ritual of……. STEMMING. “SHAME”, I say. Can you imagine parents leading their children through the Pumpkin Patch stalking their prey. Ready at a moments notice to twist, snap, and cut “THEIR PUMPKIN” from the Orange Collective. Brothers and Sisters…. I cry knowing the fear our round robust friends must live under, “EVERY DAY OF THEIR LIVES.”…….. Oh, Please Brothers and Sisters is it possi……………… Live to serve The Great Pumpkin Quote Link to comment
+Tank Hounds
In about a month I'll be driving from Colorado to Indiana for a new job...so if the Great pumpkin wanted to place one along my route for me to find that would be great! Quote Link to comment

The second one said, "But we don't care." The third one said, "I see witches in the air." The fourth one said, "Let's run, and run, and run." The fifth one said, "Get ready for some fun." +Ble68
Dashing through the streets in our costumes bright and gay To each house we go laughing all the way Halloween is here, making spirits bright What fun it is to trick-or-treat And sing pumpkin carols tonight! Oh Pumpkin bells, Pumpkin bells Ringing loud and clear Oh what fun great pumpkin brings When Halloween is here. Deck the patch with orange and black Fa la la la la, la la la la Take along your goody sack Fa la la la la, la la la la Don we now our weird apparel Fa la la la la, la la la la Toll the ancient pumpkin carol Fa la la la la, la la la la See the great one rise before us Fa la la la la, la la la la As we sing the pumpkin chorus Fa la la la la, la la la la Follow him as he ascends Fa la la la la, la la la la Join with true great pumpkin friends. Fa la la la la, la la la la I'm dreaming of the great pumpkin Just like I do this time each year. When he brings nice toys To good girls and boys Who wait for him to appear. I'm dreaming of the great pumpkin With every pumpkin card I write. May your jack-o-lanterns burn bright When the great pumpkin visits you tonight. +Lotho
One day I found two pumpkin seeds. I planted one and pulled the weeds. It sprouted roots and a big, long vine. A pumpkin grew; I called it mine. The pumpkin was quite round and fat. (I really am quite proud of that.) But there is something I'll admit That has me worried just a bit. I ate the other seed, you see. Now will it grow inside of me? Quote Link to comment

+WWC-World's Worst Cacher
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? The World's Worst Cacher manages to snag a Pumpkin geocoin from the Great One! I took off early from work this afternoon to run some errands including getting food for the church potluck tomorrow. Just before heading out of my office I got a GC notice saying that the Great Pumpkin had visited this cache. I detoured from my errands hoping I would make it in time. I was in luck. I wanted to log sooner, but had to get my errands run and home before sundown. Makes me for this day a little less worse than usual . . . . I guess! Though it took me a few minutes to find my own cache. Quote Link to comment
