+AustinSweetnSour
50 and counting! I know 50 doesn't seem like much to most of you, but I'm pretty excited! I'll probably wet my pants when I hit 100! (Ok, not really) Just wanted to share my 1st hurdled goal! Quote Link to comment
J'nK
Congrats! Fun ain't it? Quote Link to comment
+ThirstyMick
50 was probably my proudest milestone; it seemed like forever to get to! Congratulations!! Quote Link to comment
+cache_test_dummies
I'll probably wet my pants when I hit 100! You aren't the only one who feels this way. If you go to an event, it's quite easy to pick out the cachers who have just reached a milestone. Congratulations. Quote Link to comment
+9Key
Caching in Texas gets a lot earier terrain-wise in a couple of months as the poison ivy, thorns, and tall grass dies off for the winter. That and it'll be cooler out! You'll probably get more finds soon! Quote Link to comment
+Trucker Lee
Joined in August, and fifty already!! Way to Go!! Took me a year to get 200, so no worries or grief from me. Keep it up! Quote Link to comment
+nekom
My 50th was actually an event cache at a bowling alley that was a ton of fun. I'm still only at 60ish now, but hey, everyone goes at their own pace. I figure if it's an accomplishment that makes YOU feel good, it's pretty irrelevant how many finds other people have, isn't it? +fastforty
We recently found our 50th too, glad we aren't the only ones to be thrilled with passing a milestone. The next 20 came pretty fast, kinda like looking back once your kids are grown We'll probably make 100 on a short trip we have planned for the near future- hope it's a Kodak Moment Quote Link to comment
+psychoraven102
I don't quite remember my 50th cache but every cache I do makes me smile! I know how those milestones feel. Congrats! Quote Link to comment
+TeamThom
Found my 41st today. The 50th is now in sight and I'm looking forward to it. Congrats on your 50th. Quote Link to comment
+TheSolisPirates
We just hit 50 a few weeks ago too . Sure is exciting...makes me want to hit 100 even faster!!!! Congrats on your 50th!! Quote Link to comment
+Redcap the Druid
Way to go! I loved my 50th cache. I did it this summer at a cave cache in Southern Idaho, called Minnetonka Cave Cache, and I will always remember it. My 100th was cool as well, but 50 made me feel like I was really getting somewhere. I started caching last August and I went slow at first - it took me a year to get to 100, but after 50 I went crazy and gathered up the next fifty in a little over a month. I am at 134 finds and 21 hides now and I am going to slow down again in order to better savor the flavor So congrats on getting to 50 finds... your officially hooked! Quote Link to comment
Chumpo
I am always happy to see people who "get it". Quote Link to comment
+Nochipra
Congrats! We just passed our 50th mark not too long ago. We have been geocaching of and on since 2003 but with our health problems that was a big mark for us. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
5 1/2 years ago when I started - 50 seemed a long way off. Took me more than 1 year to get to 50. Now I see folks blow through my area for a weekend and get more than 50. Quote Link to comment
+SGT red jeep
It took me over two years to find 50 caches. I found my first seven at a gold prospecting exposition in Zortman Montana. That was before I even knew about geocaching. Finally in 2004 I jumped online and found a few caches around home (in a hundred mile radius of 59270 there were 19 caches). I found a few of them and then I went on a 700 mile geocaching trip through SE Montana stopping just short of Billings to get 17 caches. But then, after the summer of 2004, I had the opportunity to do a little traveling and the amount of finds quickly skyrocketed. Congrats on your first 50. I hope the next 50 are just as exciting. +DanOCan
Congrats. You are on the right track -- your milestones and your records are for your enjoyment and it doesn't matter how fast other people do it. It took us two years to reach 100 and I remember how happy I was to get to that mark. 500 seemed so far away but it came less than a year later and I was happy then too. 1000 passed while we were on vacation and I didn't even know what cache it was until we got home. The joys of milestones....they are all different. Quote Link to comment
+3Coltsfans
Congrats on your accomplishment. We just hit 100 4 days ago so I understand your excitement. I will never forget #50 because it was the first one that took 3 trips to find. I lost a lot of sleep over that one. Cache on my friend, cache on. Quote Link to comment
+the hermit crabs
I'll probably wet my pants when I hit 100! If you need a little help with that, try going to this cache for #100 (Hey, you live in Round Rock! Our niece & her husband bought a house there recently... we've been thinking of visiting them and their new baby, and we've been wondering how the caching is in that area... any recommendations?)
