Is there a way to bookmark or watchlist a forum thread?

This may have been asked before but I found a thread that I would like to keep a watch on to see when someone adds something to it and I can't figure out how to do it if there is a way?

Click on the Options button over on the right hand side above the first post in the topic you are interested in subscribing to, then click the "Subscribe to ... " option.

I would have chosen "Track this Topic". Thanks for clearing up that bit of confusion for me.

I would have chosen to post only once, and to be helpful in my reply.

 

Here is what the forum help file has to say. It explains the difference between subscribing to a forum and tracking an individual topic. It notes several different ways in which you can activate notifications. And, some limitations of the feature are documented.

 

There are three ways to subscribe to a topic:

 

* Click the 'Track This Topic' link at the top of the topic that you wish to track

 

* On the posting screen when replying to or creating a topic, check the 'Enable email notification of replies?' checkbox

 

* From the E-Mail settings section of your User CP (My Controls) check the 'Enable Email Notification by default?' option, this will automatically subscribe you to any topic that you make a reply to

 

Please note that to avoid multiple emails being sent to your email address, you will only get one e-mail for each topic you are subscribed to until the next time you visit the board.

 

You are also able to subscribe to each individual forum on the board, to be notified when a new topic is created in that particular forum. To enable this, click the 'Subscribe to this forum' link at the bottom of the forum that you wish to subscribe to.

 

To unsubscribe from any forums or topics that you are subscribed to - just go to the 'Subscriptions' section of 'My Controls' and you can do thi from there.

I does seem that the "Track this topic" option would have been a better response to the OP than my suggestion for "Subscribe to this forum".

Just for your information, I did not CHOOSE to post more than once and for the life of me, I can't think of a logical reason that I would ever do so.

 

I know that I cannot hope to be as helpful as you. Thus I choose to reduce my level of frustration by not attempting the impossible.
