I know of only two active groups in Illinois, "Geocachers Of Northeastern Illinois" and "Central Illinois Geocaching Association" Both of which would welcome you as a member. GONIL has many active members that are outside the "boundaries" of Northeastern Illinois in the Northwest side of the state. You also have well established and active groups on our boarders. Their official boundaries are a 100 mile radius around Eureka, MO (a little southwest of St. Louis, where Six Flags is).
