I wonder why I cannot pay with my paypal account without using a creditcard.

I do not use Visa, master or the other one. I just have my paypal account.

 

Does GC.com not need any new customers ?

Add funds to your PayPal account, then click the pay button. If you still get the credit card screen that's PayPal trying to confirm your account is really yours, and isn't really a Groundspeak problem.

I don't remember the precise circumstances but i had problems the last time i payed with paypal. It turned out that my CC had expired and i neglected to update the new information with paypal. But if i remember correctly, it did eventually go through,,, took a few days though.

I just made a payment & it went through as an Echeck, which takes 4-6 days to clear (we have a small checking account just for online transactions linked to Paypal). It could have been instant funding, if I had selected the pay by credit card option.

Can you have a bank there make up a money order in US funds??

 

Otherwise you need to find someone that knows how to get paypal to send money to explain it. This sort of thing has come up before, there are past threads around.

I have my Paypal linked to my bank account and not my CC. I Never had a problem with instant payments to anyone.

My paypal account is wired up to my bank account. It works perfectly. However, if the paypal account does not have the full amount, it takes about 10 days for a Canadian bank account to complete the payment transfer through paypal. If the seller is patient for his payment...no problem. In any event, the payment is garanteed unless the buyer closes his bank account or does not deposit enough money in his bank account to cover for the payment. I doubt that anyone here would do that. I sure would be embarrassing.
