+jennie.m
I too am rather muddled- at school used metric, and would think in cm and metres (but pounds and ounces for cooking cos thats what Mum uses). Then went to college to become a saddler, and had to learn to think in inches, and now that's what I still think in for small measurements (despite not having worked as a saddler for 9 years now). This was a bit confused too, as the thickness of leather was already being measured in mm, but everything else imperial! For walking/caching its imperial, and definatly for height of hills! Memory Map is set to imperial, and so is the car satnav. I suppose I was a convert to imperial while everyone else was swapping to metric- I always was an awkward sod Quote Link to comment
