+Arndtwe Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 i want to make a puzzle cache with a picture that you have to solve in order to get the real coordinates. ive seen people do this before but never knew how. i dont just want to put a picture in the gallery, i want it to appear on the page its self. thanks in advance for any help! Right click on the picture to see the pictures web address. Copy the link and add the code to your cache page using HTML (make sure the HTML box is checked) <img src= "Your picture link here"></img> Quote

The information needed to solve the puzzle must be available to the general caching community and the puzzle should be solvable from the information provided on the cache page. from: Cache Listing Requirements/Guidelines Quote

The pictures are still there but in a new location. If that happens your cache would not be workable. Also, those of us who check for new caches from work behind aggressive firewalls might not be able to see it. Quote

I have at many puzzle caches where the picture is hosted on photobucket. Photobucket has never changed the links to any of my pictures, and i've been using them for years. OK, them upload the photo to you profile and it won't show up in the gallery. Yes you can use Photobucket, but there is a chance that the link could be a problem if you change the file/folder name or the path to it by moving it to a different folder on Photobucket. I've used photos posted on my sever and had the server go down and then there wasn't any picture on the cache page. Get the picture? Quote
