+lekogm
Hey guys, So I have these neat little hide-a-key containers that I was tipped off about. I bought a bunch of them because I like the design but sadly, the magnets just don't stay glued on. I was just wondering if anyone can suggest a good glue that will hold up to the elements. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

+welch
Get stronger magnets if needed, and put them on the inside of the container? Quote Link to comment
+IDLookout
Wouldn't gluing be considered defacing property? Quote Link to comment
+thedeadpirate
Wouldn't gluing be considered defacing property? Not if you're gluing the magnets to the hide a key container. Quote Link to comment
+Haffy
I like the idea of just getting a stronger magnet so they will work without clueing at all. Quote Link to comment
+EScout
As was mentioned, polyurethane glue such as Gorilla, Elmer's Ultimate, ViseTite, and others, works well. It needs moisture to cure, so if you are in a dry area, put glue on one piece, spray mist water, then add second piece (magnet.) Two part epoxy also works well. I like JB Weld Kwik, for fast curing It sets up very quickly, so have everything ready, mix and apply. Quote Link to comment
Neos2
I used Gorilla glue on mine, and they are holding well. Be sure ot use just a little, as it swells up (you can chip the excess off--Go on, ask me how I know~!). Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I like the idea of just getting a stronger magnet so they will work without clueing at all. That's what I do. Put a rare earth magnet inside and duct tape it in place. No need for glue. Quote Link to comment
+EngMaxx
Simple bathroom/kitchen silicone works amazing. Use the GE stuff and not the DAP; the DAP stays soft. Quote Link to comment
