+TheAlabamaRambler
Go for it! If you want it to be trackable you have to buy the numbers from Groundspeak (or another vendor) and there are some rules around that, but otherwise let your creativity shine! Quote Link to comment

+Renegade Knight
...I f i can make them myself are there some guidelines for it?... To track them on this site like a travel bug Groundspeak will review your design. They are looking to be sure you follow the rules on using their logo and that you are using the right verbage on "Track at geocaching.com". Beyond that you don't have to worry about much. Other tracking sites may have their own logo and tracking concerns (and some don't). If you don't track it, you only need answer to your own muse when you design the coin. Quote Link to comment
Flying Spaghetti Monster
Keep in mind that if you mean "Can I make homemade coins and track them" the answer is typically "no". A few exceptions have been made in the past by emailing Groundspeak, but they are few and far between. Quote Link to comment
+Hula Bum
Unless you want to jump through hoops with GS and buy the 250 min. I would suggest either making them simply as trade swag or using TB tags attached to them for tracking. Handmade stuff is very very cool, hope you get them out there one way or another!
