Likewise with the top soil of a farm. What we do as geocachers has limited impact on the environment compared to other activities. I don't think I said geocaches caused that kind of erosion. Just pointing out that erosion isn't always normal or natural. I agree that our impact is minimal. I said the same thing in an earlier post in this thread. My apologies, I read your post to imply that cachers being reckless along a trout stream would cause an unacceptable degradation of the stream bank and an increase in the bank erosion of that stream. I urge Geocachers to use (But Not Abuse) our great outdoors. John Quote Link to comment
