kemprandy
I have a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx unit and would like to upload coordinate files to it written in .txt or .asc format. I have been unable to find any software that can do this. As a surveyor I upload asc files to a Leica gps unit and would like to be able to load the files to my handheld unit. Found my first geocache with the $40,000 Leica unit I use in surveying. kemprandy Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
If you save the data as a CSV (you can use Notepad), you can load it with Garmin's POI Loader as Custom POIs. The format is ... longitude, latitude, name, description (optional) Quote Link to comment
topografix
GeoBuddy has a text import function that can handle most delimited text files. http://www.geobuddy.com Quote Link to comment
+imajeep
You can use GPS Babel to convert your source files to GPX format, which will load to a Garmin using MapSource or Easy GPS. Quote Link to comment
