In fact here is our bookmark list of caches we plan to do if we survive the trip up. Trust me to survive the trip to go caching its a vital piece of survival kit Quote

NickPick Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Tsk! When I was a kid, we didn't have fancy in car DVD players! We used to entertain ourselves playing "I-spy", "Yellow Car!", "See how annoyed Dad can get if you keep leaning on his seatbelt and kicking the back of his seat." and other classic favourites. And our family favourite - "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" And singing - all of my family know a song about virtually any topic because we used to play "Sing a song about..." Mind you, when I was a kid, it used to take us all day to drive from Southampton to Kent, and on the way home, my parents used to put the back seats down and lay down a couple of duvets so that we could sleep in the boot like it was a bed (Obviously that was before chidren needed properly fitted child restraints). The same trip takes me about 2.5 hours now (on a good day) Quote

They start with tig and work up to british buldog I had that timeout as well SP ebuyer is the cheapest so far at £89 Quote
+JackieC Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 If you're not too bothered about the 'make' then miller bros or amazon are worth a look, they've got daewoo players with 7" screens for under £70 each (plus free delivery). I hope you've got more than one power point in the car, the battery in mine only lasts a couple of hours. Quote

Ours plays through the cigarette lighter, don't use it often but when we do makes for great peaceful journeys in the back with no world war 3 battles going on and no requests to stop every 5 mintes because Dash is absolutely bursting even though he just went at the last suitable place Quote
+The Cache Hoppers Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I'm pretty sure I saw a set in Sainsbury's for around £75.00 ... they are still pretty competitive for SatNavs too. Also do a good line in spades and shovels Quote
