MAKE SURE YOU READ AND FOLLOW THE PART ABOUT LOGGING OUT AND BACK IN FOR THE AVATAR TO TAKE EFFECT. I followed these directions and it did work for me. As for changing what it says under the avatar, you need to go to My Space. Under Profile, near the middle of the page, is a spot to put a name to be displayed with the avatar. This was actually the hardest for me to get done - took three or four attempts. Again, remember to log out and back in after making the change (make sure you SAVE the change before logging out).
