SOMEONE JUST GAVE ME A....MYSTERY COIN?!

I am baffled...coinfused...and just a little worried...in a good way. :o

Yesterday evening, I got a padded envelope.

This envelope was a plain padded mailer, one of which virtually any geocoin addict knows and loves dearly. Besides the simple address of mine, it had a postmark. I couldn't quite make out the town, though, although it did say Arkansas. The return address simply said "A Friend."

In it was a coin that still has me laughing. I cannot convey the amount of hilarity it has brought me. :(:P:P:lol::huh:

Thing is, per the rule card that came with it, I cannot post a complete picture of the coin, so I will post a couple partial pics. It also asks that I do not trade or sell it.

So AT do we ever get to see what else is on this coin? From the reaction there is something very funny about this???????? What gives? Why not a full pic?

The card that came with it asks that no full pics of the coin are taken...it'd give away the suprise. :P

Same here. I have 2 now, but don't know for sure who's behind them. I think I got a hint at one of them though at GW5.

Very awesome coin!!! I just wonder how one was able to view someones address.....Isn't that against some sort of privacy issue? or was the recipients address posted somewhere???? :P

You never know with these things, but I suspect many of these secret givers either do trades, or sell coins or something of that nature. You'd have lots of addresses doing either of those. I've done some trades and bought coins so I'm hoping my address is floating on these mystery winds too!

Sweet! A coin with binary! w00t!! That's a first from what I've seen. We could use some more technology/computer oriented coins... hehe. After all, without the wonderful binary language, we wouldn't have GPS units, computers, or any other digital electronics! Looks cool!

Well, from my previous experiences before geocaching, I can tell you that there are such things as "anonymous re-mailers" out there. The original sender mails the item to a PO Box along with the postage to send it off to the final location. Then the Mail Drop Operator (aka Droperator) removes the item from the outside envelope and drops it in the mail from their local post office. We used to get letters from "Blue Ridge Summit, PA" all of the time... :D

Thank you so much! What a privilege to receive this coin. Here's just a small picture so the surprise isn't spoiled for the next lucky recipient.
