+Holtie22
So I created a memorial to my son, Ian, last year, and sent it on its way to his birthplace in Cody, WY. I was astounded by the caring reception of this community, and thrilled when Surveyor's Mark reached its goal in April. My plan was to leave it there until I could visit in the summer of 2008 and retrieve it. After a few months, however, the inevitable happened when a cacher grabbed it and brought it home to Colorado before reading about its goal. She was kind enough to send it back to me by snail mail, so I have decided that the best thing to do is to start all over and repeat the journey! It has been picked up twice now and I am excited to watch the responses to the story that continues to develop. Here is a pic of the TB at the Mile High marker in Denver, CO on the first trip: And here it is back in Vermont, ready to begin again: If you happen to run across this TB, please add to the story of its journeys.
