nonaeroterraqueous
Okay, so I have all caches published in a given radius come up on instant notify. As always, I click on the cache page button that says, "LOC waypoint file," but now, instead of downloading the coordinates, the web page just refreshes. I don't get it. Is it you, or is it me? +Orchards Finest
I get this intermittantly with the download GPX button. Sometimes the page refreshes and sometimes I get the download. This started yesterday. Link to comment
+Miragee
What browser do you use? I have never experienced the reloading when trying to download the .gpx file. I use Opera. Link to comment

+Mudfrog
Well . . . there's your problem . . . I know this is a little different but i just bought an internet tablet that uses the Opera browser (i know it's a mobile version that isn't full featured). That thing just would not work when trying to submit my name and password. Also couldn't do any kind of cache search such as from a zipcode or state. In otherwords, i could fill in a form but it wouldn't do anything when i clicked submit or go. I finally found a thread on this forum that had an answer and can now can get it to work, but it is a pain having to swap settings each time in order to do this. Guess what i'm getting at is, that i probably wouldn't be having this problem if my device used one of the Windows OSs. On topic, i havn't had any problems using XP and the AOL IE browser on my desktop computer.... Link to comment
+Mudfrog
Oooops, just tried a couple more times. The .loc button worked fine but the .gpx button reloaded the page. But, then i clicked again on the reloaded page and it worked. Looks to be an intermittent thing so you may have to click more than once until they get teh little bug out. Link to comment
+Miragee
Okay, I just tried again on two different cache pages and the pages did reload. After it reloaded, I was able to download the .gpx file. Something has definitlely changed because I never noticed that behavior before . . . Link to comment

+topekan
Well, at least I know I'm not the only one. I have had trouble the last 2 days. When I attempt to download a LOC Waypoint file I get a message " greyed out links are only available to premium members" What gives!! Link to comment
+webscouter.
Has the page completely finished loading? Sometimes if I don't let the "extras" load it will do this to me. If I wait for all the external links to finish loading it works fine. Link to comment
+GRNZOOM
I am having this problem too.. When I click "GPX Exchange file" to send to my Cache File, it doesn't work. Started yesterday. Wonder if it's being worked on?? Nick Link to comment
+Miragee
This morning several new cache notifications came in. Without page reloading, I was able to download the .gpx file on four or five of the pages. On this page, something must be different. The page reloaded before I could download the .gpx file . . . However, I just opened that page again and the download dialogue box appeared, obediently, after I clicked the button . . . Link to comment
nonaeroterraqueous
I'm still getting no success here. I've always tried to keep my personal database up-to date with full notification of everything in a ten-mile radius, but I'm not going to do it if I have to hand-enter each one. That means that local caching would require a special cache search each time, rather than simply opening my saved file and looking to see where I should go next. Link to comment
+Miragee
I didn't have the problem with any of the new caches that came in today. I download the .gpx files without the page reloading even one time. Link to comment
+GRNZOOM
I have AOL and that's where I am having problems. Now it's hit and miss. I used Internet Explorer browser and there were no problems. Maybe it's an AOL thing that cropped up. Nick Link to comment
+Miragee
I found another cache page that doesn't work. Mini Park Micro It is up in the Escondido area. I don't know why I was able to download the .gpx file from five other new caches today, but cannot download the .gpx file from this one at all . . . the page just reloads, and reloads, and reloads . . . +Miragee
This morning I ran across another cache page that reloaded before I could download the .gpx file. It would be interesting to find out why some of these pages do this . . . and why others behave as they should. Link to comment
+GRNZOOM
Things are back to normal. No problems downloading to my cache file. Wonder what the problem was.. Nick Link to comment
