glansj Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I am planning a hiking trip to the Dolimites in Italy. I have found and installed topographical data on my 60CSx. I was wondering what maps I should buy to layer it on top of. It looks like I have two options: City navigator or Metroguide. I will be doing some driving but do not anticipate needing the autorouting function. As there is a large price difference between the two pieces of software, which should I purchase? Quote
+Nachtraaf Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 can you tell which topographical data you have already installed? I 'll go to Italy next week but have not found any of this. Thanks! Greetings, Hans Quote

MetroGuide, with the autorouting hack just in case you do need it. Then when you get back, erase/unload all copies of MG and resell it on eBay. Quote

I see lots of people willing to sell me Metroguide Europe version 8 and not so many version 9. Is there much difference between the two? Quote
strumble Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I see lots of people willing to sell me Metroguide Europe version 8 and not so many version 9. Is there much difference between the two? There is little difference in Italy between v8 and v9, and no difference between the maps in MetroGuide and CityNavigator. Ireland was the the big change for us in Europe, full coverage now. Quote
