+Firefighter Skippy
Not possible. Photos are not supported on Garmin units. I beleive Delorme makes a unit that handles sat photos. Quote Link to comment
+Redwoods Mtn Biker
Not possible. Photos are not supported on Garmin units. I beleive Delorme makes a unit that handles sat photos. The reason is that photos and images are raster files, while most GPS receivers are set up to handle vector imagery only. +imajeep
We've found that the best way to carry satellite photos in the field is to download them from Google Earth to our Palm Z22 PDA. It integrates nicely with our overall paperless caching routine. Quote Link to comment

I type in coordinates and it displays a photo or map as needed and traffic data if available. Quote Link to comment
FlagFinder
That makes me mad and yes i did see the onix not to long ago and that gps has every little detail i could want in a gps. i am just amazed that the bigger gps companies didnt make it first. Looks like they are falling behind. Quote Link to comment
+trooperdjb
Seems as though in one of the making your own maps threads, the example used sattelite photos as a background for making a new map of a golf course. Something like this might work for you but not a simple process. Quote Link to comment
+tec_64
These guys do. BTW, anyone have any experience with one of these? Look neat and seem reasonably priced. http://www.bushnell.com/gps/gps_onix200CR.cfm tec_64 Sudbury, Ontario Quote Link to comment
