Sugar Land Yak
These are my GPS readings N32 50'.736, and this is what I found on Google Earth 32°50'45.09"N, why the difference? Quote Link to comment

+TrailGators
These are my GPS readings N32 50'.736, and this is what I found on Google Earth 32°50'45.09"N, why the difference? Your GPS is reading in degrees, minutes and fractional minutes. Google Earth is using degrees, minutes and seconds. There are several other ways of providing coordinates as well. +Knight2000
I cant really find a better site, but this shows different ways of writing the same information. http://home.online.no/~sigurdhu/Deg_formats.htm Quote Link to comment
+imajeep
Go to GE options--it has a couple of different formats you can set. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Same spot different ways of writing it. Your GPS smoothly translates between them once entered. Quote Link to comment
+Nachtraaf
When you are logged on to gc.com and visit a detail page of a cache you find a link at the right of the coordinates to other formats. Those mean always the same. Greetings, Hans Quote Link to comment
